I've been in the Black for almost two years now... Just finished an an extended break (family and work stuff) and I've come back to a FSS system that confuses me. I've worked out how to use it but it's as clunky as hell and really seems to have taken away the fun of discovering new systems.
So what DOES a system honk find you these day? It used to show toy the planets in the system and then you could decide whether to go and investigate further. Now it seems to tell you there's stuff out there but not show it to you... Does it still 'find it' for your explorer paycheck and status even though you can't 'see it'? Sometimes it will show me a couple of planets (usually close in HMC bodies) but mostly it just shows the star...
Considering I've got 280+ jumps left before I complete the Sol-Colonia-Sag A- Sol triangle, I'm wondering if it's worth it and whether my mapping from the first leg of the trip will have changed from what I 'found'?
