There is a licensing issue with the Ford Explorer, that's why we don't have them in Mattel toys or Lego.
I was pleasantly surprised to see one on a screenshot of RTJP but if they are not in the game it does not surprise me that much.

OK my bad, i read somewhere that no one could get the license for the JP Ford Explorer since Lego Jurassic World in 2015 and i didn't check if there was a counter example. :|
So maybe there's still hope to have the Explorer in this DLC, but i doubt it.
I’ve just watched bestinslots YouTube videos regarding the new DLC RTJP , Now he mentions once again Isla Sorna (lost world) yet again looks nothing like it should do ? I thought they were taking us back to the original 3 movies ? Not just adding skins from those films. If they can reimagine the original Jurassic park layout surely they can make Sorna somewhat resemble The lost world.
The Nublar JP they've shown on those videos also doesn't look nothing like JP either. Wrong fence layout, wrong distances, wrong Visitor's Center' landscaping, really wrong Gates placement and surroundings. I wouldn't put my hopes that high...

No, it's not nearly faithful... I don't know about the map, and could even ignore the landscape around the VC, but just look at that fence/paddock layout AND the placement of the JP Gate.
As faithful as a park building game can be, with a different scale, buildings with different purposes/scale. They can't make an entire island in a single map.
Ok, this may be an unpopular post, but I just had a really ominous thought..... imagine after all the complaining that has happened about locking 93' 97' and 01' skins behind challenge mode, they listened but thought ok, so what can we give as a reward instead and decided it's the ford explorer for the jeep tour?

It would be a fitting punishment towards all those angry kids screaming "ITS NOT INNNNNN".
However, I wonder what the reward for the Sorna DLC map could be,
Read me again, please, I didn't say a word about the 'entire island'.
Just look at the paddocks layout. You're supposed to be working there, so the VC, Park Gate and main paddocks should at least resemble a bit what they are trying to replicate. But they don't. Like, in the slightlest.
And I don't think this has anything to do with 'how faithful a park building game' can be. Paddocks are just open spaces within fences. There are canon images stating them, how many, what shapes, not even talking about sizes.
We don't really see them tho from a top down perspective. I'm not saying they couldn't have put more effort in it, but that perhaps they tried and it didn't work.
People have made much more accurate 'original' paddock sets in the previous Nublar sandbox. They are the f***ng devs, for TRX sake XD

Guys, isn't that supposed to be part of the fun of playing a game like this? To build (cos it's a 'builder' game) our own versions of what we think JP or JW might have really been like? Rather than have the devs do it for us? Ironically the existing Nublar map we already have is the right shape when you compare it to many maps of the 93' park published by fan media..... so with all the new legacy content we can build a pretty authentic JP on there with more accurate proportions if you're willing to take the time. I'm definitely gonna enjoy attempting that and would be gutted if the devs already did it for me!!
That's an interesting pov and one I didn't think about. But to be fair, I've always tried to do MY park, inspired but not copying the canon.
