Route plotting

Whats up with route plotting? It takes ages. Plotting a route of 50 lyrs takes the same time as plotting one for 15000 lyrs. Even single hop routes take up to 100 seconds to finish.

Havent been in the game for a while now and this is new. My filters arent the problem. I have checked them. Anything new from the latest update i missed?

Wow, that doesn't sound right.
Sorry I can't be of more help, but single hops are better to just select the target system, not plotting route there.

Are you where there is a high density of stars? That would slow it up. But since you are comparing with previous experience, it sounds like a problem at your end. Are your drivers up to date?

For reference, plotting a couple of jumps (<100ly) is almost instantaneous, plotting a 2000ly route takes maybe 10 seconds.

No. Just somewhere between the bubble and the soul nebula. Just takes forever to divert the route is i spot a small nebula i want zo visit. No idea why it is like it is.

I know you said the filters aren't the problem but, just because I feel I should check... Go into the Filters tab and turn on Map, and then see what the filter is there and if 'apply current filter to route' is selected. Even if you have the view set to realistic, it will still try to apply the filter to the route.

If it's not that then the best thing I can think of would be to log in, plot a route, log out. Then open a support ticket and put in your netlog from that session, they might be able to spot something.

The stars look pretty sparse where you are located. Did you have this problem when you had higher density of stars? I can plot 20,000lys in about half that time!!!

If it's not your filters then you may want to put a ticket in with support, it shouldn't be that slow. The only time I've had a slow down is at the galactic core. I'm playing on PC though so not sure if it makes a difference.
