Auto take-off suicide ride

Nope. Hasn't happened. Haven't pulled out of a station in close to a year now. Been out in the black this whole time. Still out there. Will be out there until I'm not.

I don't own any yachts or planes, so, genuinely - how many of those has rear view mirrors? :)

No rearview camera, but maneuvering cameras are becoming standard on all heavy's now, and you can fit them to your own private aircraft.

All pretty much summed up, the ADC only has basic collision avoidance, be ready to take over. Automation is a tool to assist, the Cmdr is in charge of the ship.

Install an ILS antenna on top of a house, a 747 will happily CAT III autoland on the house with pinpoint precision.

Internal station structures? Happened once, can't remember if it was landing or take off. Scratched my side, bumped off of the scaffolding and the rest was smooth.
Mailslot on the other hand... Usually ADC flies better than I but sometimes... to the point I almost pressed ESC to main menu. In general I praise the ADC for comfort it gives me while flying big sheep... I mean ships. Adds to the feeling. Initiate take off, then manually plot route while ADC park me out.

Something similar happened to me when the ADC's first arrived but nothing since. I had to do the same by the way and took over control of the ship until I was far enough away and then let it do the rest.

I barely use DC's or ADC's anyway.

The D.C and the A.D.C. were made, by the Goddess of Minions. Therefore, it tends to have, psychopathic tendencies.

There are so many uses for a single space module slot that you shouldn't use an AD. Landing is actually fun.

True for small ships.. On all the L pads ships with tons of slots, I'll take my ADC and SCA on non-combat builds. No idea how many manual landings and departures I've done over 4+ years, wouldn't want to count (I also refuse to check hours played)

So, yeah landing is fun, so is flying FA-OFF, doesn't mean I want to do it all the time.
