I think South American Animals would be more important than Asian Animals. There is (except Terrarium-Animals) only one South American Animal in the GameWe definitely need more asian, european and australian animals

And EuropeBasicaly we need morę Animals,Africa and Asia are both continents full of unique fauna and i Hope we'll get more Animals from these continent top(serval, marabou stork, gaboon Viper, guereza, malayan tapir, clouded Leopard, indian cobra etc..) but still now priorities are Australia,Americas and both Poles.
I've made a Wishlist with European Animals that I think are unique enough to be in the Game. Maybe there is a Possibility that at least some of them will be in a Expansion if enough People like itSomehow everybody forgets about Europe
Tbh, we don't have that many very exotic/special animals IMO
A lot of variants are present in other continents, and are the more popular variant.
Sry i have to correct you on that statement but Flamingos have there northern most breeding colonie in North Rhine-Westphalia. Since 30 years now for the ingame flamingo, 50 years for some other subtypes. But i agree on that you wouldnt count em as typical german.Flamingos are not a typical german animal, sry... what you saw is problably very rare here, they mostly were on transit somewhere else (maybe to breed).
North American isn't all that well represented.. Africa has far more animals in it's collection then any other country.“Well represented”...Europeans will like to have a word with you
As Vetgirl said, we only have the gray wolf, and only because it’s native from several continents. Most probably it’s not even the European one!
I know Australia “deserve” more representation than Europe, considering it’s unique and interesting fauna, but please don’t act like it’s the only continent left behind. At least we know almost for sure that Antarctica and Australia will get DLC. Europe? Not so likely.

Which is in itself annoying, because there are still so many African animals missing from the game (meerkat, rhinos, plenty more antelope and primates).
There are a lot of animals.. I have been listing animals that i know are on the critical or endangered lists because there are a lot of animals in this world that need help..Which is in itself annoying, because there are still so many African animals missing from the game (meerkat, rhinos, plenty more antelope and primates).

Here's what you don't understand. You realize that just recently we have lost both the Western black rhino and the northern white rhino... There are only three remaining northern white rhino left that can be brought into a zoo setting. I get wanting them in the zoo game, however here is the thing.. if you really want them in, maybe consider making a separate post asking for them and the reasons why they should be considered. What I'm saying is, I suspect we won't get that many more African animals in a hurry due to the abundance of them already in-game, which I find frustrating because there are still so many yet to add (off the top of my head I can list several, many of which are on the endangered species list - eastern black rhino, addax, scimitar-horned oryx, red river hog, black-and-white colobus, black-and-white ruffed lemur, etc.).
I agree that North America, South America, and Australia need a boost, but I still want more African animals (especially one of the African rhinoceros species and the meerkat).

I think in all honesty, it is the animals that are endangered, critically endangered, and even those that are near threatened and/or vulnerable, that should be brought into the zo setting. If they are serious on conservation, then they need to look at the animals that follow these lists. And that is my opinion.
i read you perfectly fine.. you don't seem to understand that there are way more animals around the world that are being left out .. There are a lot of African animals.. And i don't think they will be left out.. I have a feeling they will be placed a bit further back.. Maybe with an expansion.. What bothers me, is that they picked very common animals.. i wish they would have picked animals that needed more help..I don't mean to be rude, but I have no idea how what you're saying relates at all to what I am saying. I think you're a little confused (or is there a language barrier?).

You stated that you "off the top of my head I can list several, many of which are on the endangered species list - eastern black rhino, addax, scimitar-horned oryx, red river hog, black-and-white colobus, black-and-white ruffed lemur, etc ", here is the thing.. The rhino, is definitely something we need to bring in.. some of the other's would be nice.. but we can't just have all African animals here.. They have not even brought in any of the African Rhino's, so it doesn't surprise me that we are missing rhino's from other continents. The game designers maybe pacing themselves to make things even.
Also, zoos don't purely exist to protect species already on the endangered species list. They also exist to create what is known as an insurance population - a worldwide captive population of animals that are threatened, but may not necessarily be on the endangered species list. This category includes many species that aren't technically endangered - like the southern white rhinoceros - but live in extremely high-risk areas. The game already has a ton of critically endangered and endangered species, so I don't know what you feel like it's missing.
If you want a normal zoo, then i think we should all have the option to run a zoo the way you want to.. which means that i think the game designeers should bring in a lot more animals then we currently have..
Just so you know.. The white rhino is on the near threatened list.. There is no such thing as northern or southern.. Those are the rhino species we have left.. (below)

Black Rhino - International Rhino Foundation
Black rhinos face continued risk from the African poaching crisis, particularly in South Africa. But thanks to intensive anti-poaching efforts, black rhino numbers remain relatively stable or are slowly increasing as reproduction slightly offsets both natural mortality and poaching losses...rhinos.org
