So you're against the player freedom of having both options at a player's disposal whenever they want to, even in sandbox mode?
I’m not against it. I just don’t care one way or the other. I’ll never mix them though, even if I have the chance. I think it would look hella weird...

What BOTHERS me is that in JP era our dinosaur roster is SEVERELY restricted. As are our research options. Very stupid design decision.
even in sandbox and challenge mode? do they even have JP era sandbox and challenge mode? I havent played yet. Also do rangers in JW use both types of darts and flares as well?

I assume that was a reply to me lol? If that's the case I am not sure if I will even buy this dlc. I was hoping to use the new jp era skins/buildings in my park but I cant even do that. I wouldnt mind doing everything in jp era if it didnt have a cut roster and less buildings as well. Assuming that all the new decor (signs, trees, etc) is part of the free update I dont see why I should buy this dlc. It just a big skin pack with a campaign route.
It is as of now. HOPEFULLY someone QC/QA at frontier will actually smack whoever came with this stupid idea on the head and they will patch it. They just have to record the damn missing lines for the few dinosaurs left:

I agree. What was the point of waiting this whole time for an entire dlc that cant be used with any of my current parks? I love the aesthetic but my number one complaint about this game is how limited it is and all this does is throw in even more limitations at the cost of $25.
You can use any dinosaur and model in either era. Only the buildings, fences, and decor are locked between eras.
Instead of mixing, I would like to have both era of ALL the buildings.
Even if it's cool that 1993 have a different playstyle, as you only have land cruisers to see the dinos, I would like to make a "normal" park as in JWE but with 1993 skins on everything

IIRC, you can unlock them in the main campaign if you beat the JP campaign
But not research and paleobotany. Which I Paid for.
Apparently all of the new decorations minus the redwood trees are tied to the dlc as well
