Module storage is too little to keep players long term

My modules keep at rather steady 80 - 90. I do hoard PP modules, but I foolishly got too few of many of them the first when I first went through the Powers and now have to do a second round for the ones I really like. For ships I tend to keep a static build once it's 'finished' and not change it unless I'm radically altering the ship's purpose. I also don't get too attached to my engineered modules because I have been thinking I can easily always engineer more. Recently I have been engineering a number of ships in rapid succession and am actually having some material shortages. I barely remember the last time I had that problem.

It's not specifically about the length of time played, but more-so about the play style of wanting to try different aspects of the game. I can attest to this as I'm one of these players. I red-lined my module storage about a year ago and have since resorted to buying ships to store additional modules on.

So in this case, you need to remember which particular ships you stored which particular modules on (with engineering/experimental combinations). This means you need some external method of tracking which modules are on what ships.

Does this method technically allow you to store higher numbers of modules? Yes it does.

Is this method frustrating and time-consuming? Yes it absolutely is.

I think additional space, and some better UI elements allowing more intuitive module management (maybe even some sort of loadout save/load system) would go a long way.
I'll just buy more than one of the same ship if I want to use it for different things and then just have it fitted for that specific purpose and switch out ships between combat, mining/trade and exploration. if you're already buying ships to put modules in you might as well be using them, right?

Not so much more space (though that would not hurt) but better management tools for Modules and Stored ships.
Here is a good example of some filters Fdev can use https://inara.cz/cmdr-all-modules/21899/
Also show all module class #

Transfer of modules from stored ships to another ship would be nice. Having to swap ship then the goto Outfitting then goto hardpoints store a weapon then back to swap ship then outfitting then hardpoints then add a weapon, when transfer weapon/module from ship #2 to ship #1 is a bit better :)
Templates would be nice too.
This.
I really don't want more module storage space if that means more scrolling and searching for modules through even longer list.
I would love to see that part reworked and improved though.

While I am occasionally annoyed by the lack of module storage, I think the limit is a reasonable constraint, especially when it comes to legacy modules that have no currently attainable equivalent...I've been pairing down my CMDR's but he's still got more than a dozen.

Not opposed to more storage, but I'd like it at least be a credit sink and for legacy modules to vanish first. Also, I was a long term player well before there was any module storage, outside of using ships, at all.

Better module filters and list organization is a must though.

I tend to keep anything I have modded because selling them does not return any mats and mats are annoying to collect !

So... I have 53 ships
17 of which are outfitted, modded and I use.
25 of which are module storage ships.
The rest are just waiting to be outfitted.

I recently spent a day shifting modules from station storage to ship storage, so now I only have 35 station stored modules.

I went a bit crazy with enforcer cannons (possibly drunk) I own 26 of them for some reason ?

I'm not particularly fussed on module storage. I've got almost 2400 hours in this game and that's probably not what will make me stop playing. What I would like to see is some way I can trash or recycle engineered modules that I no longer need and to recoup at least some of the materials used.

OK, so some of you don't need additional space, that's fine. What's the harm in giving people who need it additional space? If you don't need it, you won't have to use it.
I'm concerned that you have turned into a hoarder. You need to sell all but 20 of your stored modules. If you can't, you've got a hoarding problem and you need help.
