❄ Planet Zoo: Arctic Pack coming 17 December ❄

I know I'm a freak. but I would be happy with 1 every month :D Imagine what a wide range of animals we'd have after a year. But the masses will probably scream then. One every 3 month sounds bout like the content strategy Planco had, I believe. Sims has it as well, more or less.
I doubt they could develop them that quickly.

Well this one's what 6 weeks since release, so it begs the question.

Looks exciting, the Dall Sheep was very unexpected but definitely the one I look forward to the most!

Minor suggestion/question regarding the Dall Sheep, given that the animals in the game have different levels of navigable terrain (one of the heatmaps shows it in blue), will the dall sheep/could the dall sheep be able to scale sheer cliffs like they do in the wild?

Yay!
I will admit that when I saw the notes on the patch and the "there might be another surprise" I was thinking reindeer. I am not saddened nor upset that they are in a DLC, nor am I upset about the price, just surprised. I was mildly hoping for some type of Holiday pack for the season to come out around Christmas, but I am much happier with this DLC. I am always looking for a bargain, but I think that the pricing is not unreasonable, especially when one considers that Steam does have sales and DLCs are often included, if you want to wait to pay less.

I do not. I know that I will get this DLC this month (maybe next week). My husband cannot complain about me buying it, since he just spent similar on a dlc with only 3 adds for his game (ok Pinball, but still only 3).

I will restate that I am pleasantly surprised by how soon after game release that a DLC is coming out. I have not put even half of the habitat animals in my zoo, only experimented with 2 exhibit animals (now gone) and haven't come anywhere near to finishing the career path.

and just to be in the mix, my favorite include is the reindeer, least excited about is the Polar Bear, but I still want him and all of the animals.

While one side of the team was preparing the game for launch during September/October, the other side of the team could have easily produced this content.
I think it's more than 6 weeks work.

Planco received a update as well 1 month after release, the only difference being that one was fully free.

But I have no insight on Frontier's work schedule, I'm only a so-called Frontier Spokesman who actually knows nothing about that. ;)

I don't really like to build in planet zoo, its often very complicated and frustrating, so for me it's little bit disappointing to get only 4 animals in the dlc pack 🙁 hope we will get in future dlc's with more animal's & not so much building stuff... 😔

Hi Bo, would you be able into an issue I've reported to the issue tracker? It's been an issue since the beta, and I'm hoping next week's update can resolve it. Much appreciated!

Hi Bo - I have an Issue Tracker bug I'd love to know if it's being addressed, or can be, in the next update. Could you let me know? It would be most appreciated. This is the issue:

It's about staff not getting trained in sandbox mode. It used to work but hasn't since 1.0.3.
Thanks!

Alright have some more info now! Are you using the "infinite energy" setting? Because in that case, it would mean your staff don't rest and therefore don't train. Staff always need to go to a Staff Room to receive training, so by disabling this setting they wouldn't receive training in Sandbox Mode.
We'll look into this further and see how we can sort that out for you :)

Have had a quick chat with the team, they're looking into it and it's on the list for a future update! So not in 1.1 unfortunately but soon after! Hope that's okay <3

I made a suggestion in the Suggestions forum, called 'Custom DLC' that you might like :)

I honestly stopped reporting on the issue tracker. There's no feedback whatsoever, even re bugs from Beta. If you contribute to one issue, you cannot track that. Your patch notes so far are not very detailed (or there's no detailed version; two versions the better choice imo) to see if a specifc bug has been adressed by a patch. Are there any internal plans to develop this tool further?

I've had a quick look and we're chatting currently about some improvements in how we could communicate better within the Issue Tracker. Thank you for bringing it to our attention - of course we want the reporting process to be as smooth as possible for you, as well as you having some insight on where your report has landed :)

As Bo said before, there are different teams that work on different things. So the content designers / scenario design work wouldn't have needed much support on the game for launch as this parts were done already. Bug fixing would be done by different people, unless the bug was related to those areas.

I hope that you do not regret jumping into a CRM/ QM role with your post looking up some pressuring issues up ;).
But I appreciate it and maybe you can do that from time to time, at least.

Imo, I don't expect a detailed "comment" or something like this when contributing or reporting an issue. something like a traffic light system with "acknowledged", "work in progress", "solved in patch X.X" would be helpful and a feedback one can grab easily as a customer.

The traffic light system isn't a bad idea, but it would still require looking for the issue in the issue tracker again (which is a nuisance if fifty people have logged the same issue separately). I just think patch notes could be more extensive and detailed. A lot of games will go into the nitty-gritty and list exactly what they've patched in their notes. It might not mean anything to everyone but at least a comprehensive list will allow us to go through and find the specific bug we were looking for.

I am sure that they will have ideas by themselves. I just wanted to use an example to express that I understand that's not possible and don't want them to comment on every bug posted. But my suggestion definitely had in mind that you can view these "traffic lights" when you log into your account. Because that's one of the big flaws of the current version. One contributes to a bug and it's not shown under the "my issues" section.
And i do understand that not every user is interested in a detailed list of 400 bug fixes, nor that steam provides enough room for this. but a longer version would be handy and if was able to see in the issue tracker if and how my reported issue was dealt with that would be enough.
