More than 2 button options in fire groups

I am not talking about Fire Buttons but Fire groups. If you set up your fire Groups right even if you have 7 fire Groups. It only 3 click to the farthest group to use what needed.

Why not just one fire button? Then you can set up 11 fire groups and it's only 22 potential button clicks away? This is a perfectly reasonable suggestion and he's not looking for a way to deal with the current system, but suggest a better one. Which is why he's posting in the "suggestion" thread.

All hail the controller. An utterly obsolete remnant of the past, that is still somehow an input method in modern gaming. That's why you only have 2 fire buttons in this game.

Didnt the devs limit the buttons so players with better control setups wouldnt have an advantage over another? Or something along those lines.
Somebody with a HOTAS already has an advantage over my PS4 controller. I with my VR have an advantage over people stuck in 2D and no head tracking. So there goes that argument in a poof of fire and smoke.

If people want complete hardware and software parity, play on a console. On PC, we should have the option to use more than two triggers if we have them.

Not sure that's really valid considering that the "buttons" can be any button we want it to be. It does not have to be on a joystick specifically as you can map a button on your throttle as well. The game doesn't care as long as it's a valid button that the operating system recognizes.

They don't want more than two triggers because it will put those with controls that typically lack many convenient buttons at a disadvantage.

If only consoles were cheap. Id have more of them and not have missed out on exclusive titles for xbox back in the day. This, to me, seems like the old, people with money vs people with significantly less disposable income, translated to console vs pc gamers. Not to mention all the third party stuff console is not able to utilize, like voice attack as an example.

I understand that yet in their own in-game help, they show images of some controllers with lots of buttons. It would nice to have a 3rd option we could map.

Those controllers are out of the average gamers price range (unless they have a rich daddy).

My sons wants a $200 scuff controller. He got jokes

Also those buttons arent extra buttons they are the same as L2 and R2, you would still have only 2 actual triggers, just on 4 buttons

Edit: he just informed me that the new scuff controllers are upwards of $400. Does anyone else think that is incredibly unreasonable?

That's why they are capping the number of fire buttons.

They know I have 40 buttons and eight axes. That's enough of an advantage over a gamepad already. So they deliberately cap some things...like the number of triggers one can bind.

What if and this is a big one. If they are able to merge all games into one. Then the console will not have an advantage. They will have to nerf PC users to equal Console users.

Sorry OP it still a no from me.

All platforms already share the same BGS and consoles have other control options, so the issue isn't one of platform, it's one of accessibility and choice.

The game needs to work in a fairly complete form even if the only controls one has are a gamepad or KBM...and this wouldn't be possible if they allowed more fire buttons.

The current setup, is, IMO, a reasonable compromise.
