General Better Signposting for Senarios.

Hi Folks,

One of the things I've been really enjoying is the Defend/Raid the Installation or Defend the Battlecruiser senarios. The problem I have I find it difficult to find the damn things. If one of these senarios are active in a system, Would it be possible that after you fly about in supercruise for a couple of minutes or so, we get a one of those tip-off Comm messages which tells us of a possible raid at the installation name or that intelligence reveals a possible attack on a certain Capital Ship.

I just feel that a lot of people are missing out on this kind of gameplay beacuse they don't know it's active in the system they're in.

What does everyone else think?

I feel like they are fine as they are. They just happen to you, rather than you go to them.

I like that, because it means they don't become a "Has Res" which people constantly grind over and over again and then complain about the game being samey and having "nothing to do" after they did the same thing for hours.

The best kind of signposting would surely be missions. But I have never seen a mission on the mission board offering these scenarios.

Having some random writer make some crap up to make you feel like The One doesn't make anything in a video game more meaningful.

I do them regularly, but I never needed to have my hand held and told I was a good boy.

Well, lucky you! Maybe some players are not as lucky as you at finding them.

It doesn't have to be a direct call where they say 'Only YOU can save us, Commander'. That doesn't fit with the way this game works anyway. More like a general warning saying there's heighten pirate activity in the area. That could be a signal that it might be worth checking out the Local Installations or Capital Ships but not every one will kick off a scenario.

You already have that. You already know when factions are at war in any given system, or when there are pirate attacks. Pay attention.

It's not obvious! Most people, like myself, do know know what the circumstances are where these scenarios will spawn. Like I said, it needs better signposting. People are missing out on decent content because of it.

I literally forgot scenarios were added into the game, so I'd love for them to be "advertised" better.

See what I mean?

I dunno, I think people are missing out on decent content because they just don't try anything new and stick to the same activity.

There are distress call signal sources, emissions signal sources, megaship missions, megaships highlighted on the nav panel with a warning about thargoid attack, combat zones, all of which can land you in a scenario, if you go to those places.

Distress Call Signal Sources and Combat Zones are really the only ones that people know about. The others people don't really know about.
