A simple question about FSS

Has anybody been attack and kill while in open scanning systems?

Makes me kind of nervous not seeing what is going on around me when I am busy scanning a system.

You can also get close to the arrival star and turn your back to it, making it hard for someone to start an interdiction too. ;)

Attacked: yes, killed: no. While not getting hit is the best defense, it's better to be prepared for when everything goes wrong and you start getting fired upon.

I was attacked by a player once while using my FSS in an uninhabited system close to Sol. I was quite surprised, seeing I was in a very nondescript system. I guess he was just passing through. Thankfully I build tougher-than-normal ships for my Bubble-based exploration, so I lived to fight another day.

You drop back out of the FSS screen immediately if an interdiction starts. You can then either stay throttled down and submit or throttle-up and fight the interdiction.

It's been my experience that I can get one or two more planetary scans in before I get kicked out of the FSS. However these interdictions were made by NPCs, and I play on the PS4, so it could be that different platform/pvp interdictions are handled differently.
