Two small yet useful gui additions

I don't agree with numerical target shield indicator.
Not everything should be known to player - especially that this information wouldn't be easily available.
I think it's fine as it is now in that regard.

On the other hand I wouldn't mind being able to tell exactly how many hitpoints (or MJ or whatever) my shields have at any given moment in battle, although I can't say that I ever needed that particular information.

Same applies to hull values that for some reason are known exactly ;)

You can see your shield value by looking at the lower panel, where it is reflected as a % next to the "Helm".

You can see the exact % of the target ship's shields (and others) on the targeting panel.

You mean percentage then?
I thought you ment exact numbers, like Shield Health = 1200 MJ F.ex. Sorry for misunderstanding.

In that case - what Ezren said. I wouldn't object to having that indicator shown in the main HUD, but it doesn't bother me either.

I have no interest in either - seems like they would needlessly complicate the HUD for no value 🤷‍♀️

But the value would be written right there! :D ;)

But considering that you can see the percentage of hull there and that you can see your shield percentage in the down panel, it would merely be consistent to also show the number on the shield display. And it would actually also value: your shield regeneration (not rebuild but regeneration) would be easier to observe than before, making it easier for people to spot the advantages of different kinds of shields.

+1 for the Night Vision Indicator. It's too easy to lose track of whether it's on or not, and turning up at green sparkly stations and outposts is no longer an interesting novelty.

Edit: I think I was about sixteen hundred hours in before I found out about the shield percentage being displayed in the Helm panel.

Light dimmer please or light switch for cabin lights.
they should go bright or come on when you shutdown engines when you land, a little like you open your car doors

In vr light level can be to high in certain ships....

Until Frontier bless us with a Night Vision Indicator, note that you can establish what state NV is in, even in ships where you can't see any telltale green on any part of the ship, by toggling NV and listening. The sound that plays when you toggle it on has a slight rising tone, the sound that plays when you toggle it off has a slight falling tone.

So just toggle the switch till you hear the tone that indicates NV is in the state you want.
