I'd managed two more attempts at the Classic Cobra this afternoon, none of which were faster than my current best. Thanks for the interesting race, Bruski, and more importantly the interesting build. It certainly left a lot less room for error... upon error... upon error. 
Great race and very interesting build. I particularly enjoyed the fuel scoop.
I haven't flown the Cobra since not long after I started playing, now I kind of want to fly one more often.

Congrats to Alec and Shaye for their magnificent times! and to all the Cmdrs that put their kidneys on the hands of Vac-Lift.
The race was full of uncertainties, so planning, perseverance and just keeping the pace was the way to go.
Yesterday, I found myself applying buckiballiness in my RL... Get wife in car, check time, depart, drive the fastest (inside legal limits...), arrive restaurant, park in the best spot, get to restaurant... check time. In less than 5 min!

I love the Cobra, got one called Lucretia that's one of my main ships. 5+ years old now (discounting that everything's been replaced several times)
Really wanted to repurpose it for a regulation run but ran out of time.

I haven't been that organised lately else I'd have made an Unlimited attempt as well, with my Viper MkIV on standby at Pond Reach, but I don't think I could have done much better in Classic. It will take a lot of practice to get better and I'll head off now and see how well I've learned the lessons as I try to get the Antimony to mod five more heavy duty shield boosters for my new Corvette.

Well, while we wait for the final scores just wanted to thank Bruski for a fantastic event, congratulate everyone who took part, welcome the newcomers to Buckyball and bid one and all a happy holiday (or, if you're not getting one, at least a peaceful time at work). Buckyball Racing will resume in the new year.

Enjoyed your run, and gratified that my rough guess exit bearings from the bases were very close to yours.
That's probably my favourite bit of a Total Recall race. That brief period when you're hurtling towards the base and your landing pad while simultaneously scanning the landscape around you and trying to make a mental note of which direction is the best route to take away from the base.
I'll share my submitted run as well, no fancy editing though. I've added shortcuts in the description to skip the boring bits, we've all seen hyperspace jumps before.
