Allow alphabetical order by genus and not species

In both zoopedia and fitlers, it is very annoying to search for the specific species instead of the genus name, e.g. Plains Zebra instead of just Zebra.

The genus name is normally much more unique and well known than the species name, and helps avoid duplicates. For example, there are tons of species starting with "common X" which makes it very hard to find the one you search for.

The animals could instead be displyed in the format:
"Zebra, Plains",
"Tiger, Bengal"
for the people that choose it.

It would be great if you could add an option in the settings for search by genus name instead of species.
Hope it helps other players as well!

I always thougt it should be sorted by genus. Not only because of grouping all species beloning to a genus and selecting the wanted one. It's clear that a lot of animals can't be found in a list just by not knowing the correct species name...
Especially more obscure ones like the North Sulawesi Babirusa.

It would be weird in case of the Spanish language, because in Spanish first is the genus name and next it's the adjective, but still I think it's a must have also the filter of families like reptiles, mammals, birds, etc would be great

Same in hebrew, but I think most people play in english.

What about genus, but the scientific name? That way, all relatives are grouped together.

Such as:

Ursus arctos horriblis (Grizzly)
Ursus maritimus (Polar bear)
Etc.

Yeah,.. I made this suggestion waaaaaaay back at the end of the beta... one of the weird things is that its a little inconsistent. The drop-down for suitable items mostly follows the normal pattern (full common name in alphabetical order) but just lists "capuchin" for the Colombian white faced capuchin.... Everywhere else (i think) its the full common name.
