Thrustmaster T16000M and T.A.R.G.E.T

So I upgraded myself from a rather cheap joystick to the Thrustmaster T.16000M Joystick and Throttle. Really happy if it, even if its very confusig (using throttle for the first time) with all these buttons.
I ran it without this, sorry, stupid TARGET software before and everything worked fine.
As my brain does not seem to be able to handle the throttle on forward only mode (and a button to toggle reverse) I decided to use full range mode, which I liked better anyways.
Now for the problem.

I wanted and still want to add a deadzone to the middle of the Throttle Axis so I dont go to negative speed too quickly. After an hour of figuring out what this program does I managed to create a profile and even set up a docking request shortcut. Pretty proud of myself. Ran the script, didnt work. No input from the joystick at all, only the throttle worked.
After another hour of googling I found out that stupid windows shuts off the power to the joystick once the TARGET software runs a script, which basically virtually disables the controllers and combines them as one. Sounds smart doesnt it?
After fixing this problem with the help of mighty google I tried again, but this time the buttons of the throttle stopped working. Thanks to google again, I found out that these are not bound in the default TARGET config. So I remapped every single key to a key of my keyboard.
Now everything seemed to work. But, who guessed, new problem while setting everything up (the third time). Since both inputs have been combined to one by this smart program, the X axis was "overlapping", meaning that the game recognized the X axes from the joystick and the X axes from the throttle as one.

At this point I stopped and uninstalled this software.

So, sorry for the long text, but now to my actual question .... does anyone have any idea how I can add a deadzone to my throttle without using this software?

I appreciate any help, and sorry for my english.

AFAIK, it would. Using that key, throttle should stay at zero as long as you don't move it.

Kind of what I was thinking.

OP - I do the same thing with 75% throttle. I bound it to my space bar. When I hit the space bar, the throttle goes to 75% and stays there unless i move my throttle.

I have the exact same hardware you have, by the way.

Hmm it's and option I might consider, but it doesnt sound that nice. I mean, I have my hand on the throttle all the time due to all the other buttons, so if I do use a shortcut for a full stop and I only move the throttle 1mm by accident I would have to press that shortcut again, right?

Click THROTTLE AXIS in the flight throttle section of options/controls in game, you can set a deadzone there.
Just tested this on my T16000m FCS combo.

Does it work as a middle deadzone too? I'll try

Yeah, but the throttle should be a lot stiffer than that.

Also, I highly recommend you get some Nyogel. It makes the throttle have perfect resistance.

Of course, it's expensive and you'll use maybe 1% of that tube over the next 10 years, LOL

So I've spent a silly amount of time on target.

If you can do it another way I'd do it. It's not easy to make reliable

I personaly think TARGET is pretty awesome.
You just have to understand first what it does.
It takes all your Thrustmaster controllers, and merges them together in one virtual controller in the way that you've specified.
It can be a bit daunting at first, I addmit that. But once you've climbed this noob-hill, its very easy to configure and extremly flexible, and reliable too.

Oh, and if you want to use 'full range', I suggest you build yourself a center detent.

I have same controllers as you do. I don't use Target sw. I use the throttle fully to one direction and toggle reverse with the button next to pinkey button to change direction.

I actually use the pinkey button as shift so I can double each button's activity.

Edit: Here is the setup I use:

The main problem with Target is the fact it makes up that virtual device with a new device name. If you forget to start it the frontier binding system sees the joystick as missing and all your bindings disappear.

another problem is target does not play well with windows 10. On numerous occasions after a big windows update the thing stops working and you have to go into an obscure USB driver menu to turn off automatic power down of the usb peripheral.

All in all, if you can avoid it, it makes your life slightly easier
