"Gameplay suggestion" != "Problem I'm having in game"

So, I don't know exactly who all of you need to understand this - but I know it's a lot of you - so here's the thing:

Someone making a suggestion to better the game doesn't mean they're saying "I am having this problem with the game, and would like to no longer have it."

What they're often saying is "This thing would be fun to have."

Telling them another way to accomplish something is utterly pointless. Trying to claim they just want an "I win" button is trite and idiotic. Mindlessly posting "you need to make hard choices" doesn't make you look smart or like a grizzled veteran.

Good god people...

Both yes and no really. Some suggestions are insane, while others are useful.

Some people differ from you in their approach to the game. And where you would like to make something easier and more fun for yourself, it might make it easier and therefore less fun for them.

That "win" button example simply means that someone thinks that certain suggestion will remove some of the difficulty from the game.
Same with the choices - it's easy to request something universal that would improve things in your opinion. But at the same time it might just erase the gameplay that comes with making choices - sacrificing something to make something else better. This game is already made too casual and too forgiving - especially when it comes to exploration.

Don't expect people to keep quiet. Fdev need to see if something proposed has any support among players.
I certainly try to make it known that I don't support some suggestions I feel might hurt the game.

If an idea can't stand up to public criticism, it's not a good idea.
If an answer can be given that someone hasn't considered or bothered to look up for themselves, it's not pointless, it's an answer.
It's a bit early for a glass of whine to be honest.

Except this isn't about ideas that can't stand up to public criticism.

Nor is it about "answers" that can be given.

It was specifically about how suggestions are not always due to problems that need an answer.

And a bunch of people decided that me pointing that out meant I had a "problem" they could answer.

The blind arrogance - or just complete lack of reading comprehension and self-awareness - is utterly astounding.

...

Wow.

Thank you for the entirely useless "explaination". Did you genuinely think that was helpful?

I don't think this thread is very helpful. :p

If somebody has a suggestions there's nothing wrong with a reply that gives some reasons why it might not be a good addition to the game. That's kind of key to a discussion. And this is the Dangerous Discussion section of the forum.

So suggestions aren't ideas?
I'll keep that in mind I suppose.

Actually it seemed to be about having a problem with the game, as per the title: "Gameplay suggestion" != "Problem I'm having in game".
Besides, some suggestions need an answer due to lack of understanding or perhaps not knowing about base things.

And a bunch of people decided that me pointing that out meant I had a "problem" they could answer.

Actually the answers seem to be about suggestions not always having merrit. But here we go.

You know what's tiresome? Vague, passive aggressive "I'm right and you're all idiots" posts.

Thank you for the entirely useless "explaination". Did you genuinely think that was helpful?

How about you work on your posts so they actually say something and don't come off as just a spiteful poster?

But how would I know? Your OP was pretty vague imho.

You should know because "reasonable replies are reasonable" is something that's commonly understood. Is that not obvious?

People making a complaint doesn't mean it's therefore a problem for you to solve. It's a complaint.

Come on people, these are basic human interaction skills we're talking about here...

You are aware that "!=" means "does not equal", right? So you thought "'Gameplay suggestion' does not mean 'Problem I'm having with the game'", implied I was having a problem with the game?

Seriously?
