Lack of Common Goals and easy way to fix

Greetings Developers. Im a player of 200h and played through 1 + years. I see 2 main issues and I want you to aim at it.

First : Lack of players common goals.
I know universe is somehow lonely but a game shouldn't. Players are too spreaded for the galaxy is so big so there's no good-interact that it almost became a single / custom service game. I think a big , long-term event that every player can influence the universe will create several hostpots(That makes players interact spontaneously ) and make the game more "liver". Here is a example:
To fight against the Aliens, goverments decided to figure guardian-techs together. there's several stages including scan aliens and guardians , use experimental weapons based on it to destroy aliens and collect special meterials , help science work and etc. Every stage should last at least a month by everyone sharing the same progress and the whole event will end in a year. Stages will rewarding a large amount of credits and ranking , while the event ends by rewarding special weapons unlock for everyone , a guardian mod get amplified or requirment greatly decreased(refers to humans knows better of gurdian techs) and etc.
Mentioned that active players not participate in the act should also push the progress for refering more population in galaxy. So it wouldn't affact players running out from their own activities to participate it. And there also should have "white period" between two stages to let players make use of the connections buit in the act.
I've got better idea and thats just a EXAMPLE. If you re interest pls PM me.

Second:Always have to Mine or Passengering to gain credits.
The issue is my interest is greatly apart from how to get new stuffs. Like I am interested in exploring. But Several days explore is even less then 4 hours of mining. You canot escape the problem from cutting down some sorts of incomes but to fix the "Player's economy image". Now players can go into middle-stage ships quickly but have to play too long for A-equipments and Materials. It also happens like "I go mining for several days - I got everthing I want - I experience it and the game ends for me". Though Guardians and Engineers could help , they arnt working well.
I think give those more customize-ability and once unlocked more easier to reach is a good idea, but the problem is you have to figure out a solution.

That's all. And welcome commanders to point out more problems or fix what i was wrong.

I'm going to disagree a little here in that I don't think there's an issue as much with getting hold of credits and materials. Our g5 engineered a rated ships are merely tools to be used. What we need is something to use those ships for.

Personally I'd want the satisfaction of being involved in an progressing story line with recent interstellar initiatives being a good and bad example. The second one we had where humans expanded to the Witch head nebula was excellent. Stuff happened and we were involved in something that changed the galaxy. The one after where we killed the naughty pirates so everything could more or less go back to normal- not so much.

By all means though, lets have new stuff for our ships and rewards for being involved in events, but more involvement with the current story and more consequences from it would be a good thing. Cr/hr gameplay has replaced engagement with a story for a lot of players and this is what I'd like to see efforts made to fix.

Just my opinion of course.

Maybe last year there wasn't but who knows what getting money this year is going to be like. I'm thinking about turning into deep space piracy for exploration data 😉

The thing with exploration is that you don't need much to go exploring.
You can explore in Sindewinder for as long as you like and exploration wouldn't be much different than in Anaconda. Of course you will have lower jump range and you will need to refuel more often and it will take little longer. But that's what credits and better ships are for. To change and improve your experience.

In my opinion the problem is in fact that you can earn credits too quickly by mining, not that it takes too long otherwise. Game needs to have long term goals for you. Something to work for. When you are able to buy Anaconda after few hours of mining, it just defeats the purpose of having it as a end-game ship. I'm playing this game almost every day for two years now, and still enjoying it, because I'm not in too much of a hurry to get everything and I still have some things I could work for.

I actually hope that New Era will bring base building, as this might be something to sink your credits into, over and over again - even if you finish one base, you can always start building new one somewhere else.

OP, I have to disagree with your second point. Yes if you want to earn maximum credits with minimal input (and for me, zero enjoyment), then mining and passenger hauling is the way to go. But not everyone does that, and those that do get their I WIN big ship too early will normally lose it just as quick. Me, I am sitting around 4.2B credits in cash, with another 1.5B C in assets and I have probably core mined three times, and painite mined maybe 4 times - all in a 128T Krait. Guess I go against the stream, I make my credits doing missions because that is what I enjoy!

So what do you want FD to do, nerf all credit making mechanics back to 1.1 earnings rate, where getting a mission over 10,000 credits was a big deal? Ban players from getting certain ships until they have done 'x' number of hours or reached a certain rank level? It is one thing to complain about something, it is another thing to complain AND come up with solutions or remedies!

this is pretty much me too but with a much smaller credit balance because most of my missions are turned in for influence. Think I'm at about four hundred plus million credits on hand and like 1.9 billion in total assets

Go to squadrons. You do not need to search for people in the game because time differences, big space, it is easy to miss players, search this forum: Groups, Squadrons, and Factions
Most likely they will find what to do for you and will keep you busy all the time.

This is not true. This is what you have choosen. I have 14b, and only 900mCr of them were mined (core mining, you know, those "new" exploding asteroids). I did not gain them in a couple of days, true.

A specific comment to your second point as well. Try 'mining' in boom agricultural systems- hatchbreakers and interdictors are much more fun than prospectors and pulse wave scanners. Just keep an eye out for any ships with a refinery and bring a ship that can strip shields and kill drive modules and you're set.
