You guys drive me crazy. Try not to post one after another please
Could be worse.

Hard to find a good monocle.

You can't sign a petition that literally says: "We don’t ask for new content", and then turn around and complain that there's no new content.

fair. the whole petition thing is just an anecdote for me, though. i'll grant you there are possibly personal agendas and other motives but i'm not interested in that at all. it's the game that brings me here, and the state of it (and possible future) what it's about.

There are very few issues with the January update, and many were ironed out incredibly quickly. There was a beta. The update included many player-requested changes.

this is true. yet there was untested code in the release. and it blew. that's my point. that code shouldn't have blown but even if it hadn't, it shouldn't be there in the first place. i'm not saying they have done nothing, i'm just highly skeptical.

It's like the more FD does, the further the goalposts move.

now you're slipping into absurdland again ...
ezren! come back! stay with me! i promise i'll never mistake you for stigbob again! just allow me a tiny delay while i 'rationalize' my eyesight ...

But the context of the comments you were responding to were thus. Applying different context and then critcizing them for not matching that context doesn't really make a point.

Specify this untested code you keep referring to? It's vague.

We've known for a while what the January update was going to include, even with a beta. Then it came out, with the things we were told it was going to have. How are people acting shocked?

TLDR

But I must say that the way I play the game, whatever that is, after the patch to the patch, "Good evening, Dave. Everything's running smoothly." :)(y)

This is the bestest smoothest VR experience I've had in the game so far. @Fdev: Now, we both know it's possible, so plz. keep it up.

I love how it's not possible to just give a complement.... it has to include an insult.

"Wow, honey. You look great tonight! Who knew your fat thighs could fit in those jeans?"

the comment i did respond was out of topic, it was simply an ad-hominem (i just tried to explain this 2 posts before) which didn't expand nor on yamiks's show nor on the broader issue of the quality assurance of the game.

the precalc for the geological features that caused gamebreaking stuttering to anyone entering a system with several bodies, whether they had intent to scan them or not.

the one that prompted them to release a hotfix right away: next day, which is excellent response time, and a week for xbox which is also huge considering what deploying anything into that crazy garden entails.

i'm not shocked. not even suprised. and yamiks is acting up, that's his job. context, man, context! :D

no worries, this all has already happened, and will happen again, kid!

They wouldn't operate at all then. You, as much as anyone, should know this by now.

But when some posters decide to close a thread by filling it with rubbish, the thread gets moderated instead of the posters who are breaking the rules. This is not how its supposed to work, why bother having the rules? I accept that combing the forum removing posts one by one would be a heavy task. Ill say no more.

That's dangerous discussion for you. In order to be positive about the game you need to find constant accusations, conspiracies and being called names by furious video-game casualties funny.

I don't see how it was an ad hominem, it didn't really attack anyone specifically and was a commentary on the ridiculous reaction. It even used the words from the title of this thread.

"Gamebreaking" stuttering doesn't really match up with the descriptions given by those who experienced it. Inconvenient perhaps, but it passes shortly. Some didn't even encounter the issue at all.

And that was pretty much the biggest issue, really. With as much that was poked and prodded in this update, resolved so quickly, that's a pretty successful patch.

I could sum up this thread thusly:

Rules exist for selective enforcement, to allow a justifiable way to weed out undesirables.
Laws are little different. Just look at the number of celebrities serving time for their crimes, often the subject of extensive media coverage.
Look at politicians and see the same.

Its how society works.

Not to say it's good, just real.

Although we have to wait six months, 2020 is the year of reckoning for ED as there is no place left to hide or delay things. I wonder what we will be saying in July?

If Star Citizen taught me anything there is always a place to hide and delay things. Until FD presents both a release date and shows they have it more or less ready in functioning condition I am not holding my breath.
