Is Courier hot?

Hi there Commanders. I have a question about Courier for all you, long time Courier captains. I have my Courier for a few years as a short range, local mission runner and I love it. Recently I decided to take it to Ceos for some time (I want to buy a Corvette, which means I need those Federal ranks) and I installed 3A fuel scoop. What I noticed is that it gets really hot, pretty quick with that 3A fuel scoop. Even in regular super cruise, away from star, it heats up to around 62% and in normal space flight it might be sitting around 58%. Funny enough it doesn't get that hot when in the fight. I don't remember this thing behaving this way before. I haven't used scoop on this ship before and I'm not sure whether it is normal reaction on the added fuel scoop or something got changed after recent update? Appreciate any thoughts. Here is my Courier as it is now https://s.orbis.zone/5tyy .

They do run hot, and you'll see it when scooping. On your build if you don't mind sacrificing a little speed you could go 4a armored G4 and have the same power and better efficiency.
Yea, I can see your point here. If I was building this ship now I would probably keep 4A PP on it just to make engineering easier. I actually used to have 4A PP in it in the earlier days but eventually opted for 3A overcharged exactly because of some extra speed and jump range.

Suggested variant of your Courier that should run much less hot:

Mine runs fine with a 3A G5 Monstered Thermal spread

2A Prismatic Shield
3A Fuel Scoop
3H FSD Booster

Speed 603m/s
Boost 819 m/s
45LY Jump
613MJ shields

It is warmer than other ships I have but still easy to refuel.

An absolute hoot to fly

Yeah, that's why we love our little Courier. Boost 819 m/s with 613MJ shields. Yummy 😋

That's a really nice build you put together there. I'm actually going to use that as inspiration for a more general purpose courier build I had in mind.
I have this one....

...or this one to be practical :)

Oops... That one doesn't exist in the ship - it was removed after all the faffing around engineers... my bad 🤬

:LOL::ROFLMAO::coffee:

I was thinking wow what a nice build this guys pro... Wait what the hell... Maybe he really likes Blue Danube or wants to troll that group who ganks people with the docking computer with the speed lol!

All imperial ships are toasty ive found.
Ive engineered my Courier to be cool and i have not maxed some engineer grades. I run with 3 Rail guns now and the ship is nice and cool.
