alien and myth animals

I think that the idea sounds good from the start but In the end it is not a good idea.
Adding few assets to one object can already be called an alien
And there is no international definition how an alien should look like
Then community will say
That doesn't look like an alien

Not sure it's the best idea, but got me thinking. They could introduce a couple of...extinct animals? Let's say science have found a way to reconstruct their DNA and somehow breed them using other animals? I don't know. Like thylacine, or tasmanian tiger. How cool would that be :)

Extinct animals and mythological animals are entirely different things. Even something that realistically couldn't be added like Dimetrodon is nowhere near the same ballpark as something that flat-out doesn't exist.
However, I'm 100% in favour of extinct animals.

Sounds like science fiction. That is not the genre Planet Zoo is aiming for is my guess. And I hope that stays that way.

I rather go with this explanation than Swjodotschka's explanation..
I wasn't saying the OP had that in mind when creating the thread. However, it's our responsibility to not forget the past and know that there is a problematic historical context to wishes like that. And the Sims at leats kind of live free and you just play god ;) That's different than putting human-like creatures into an enclosure.

wavyantlepe literally said "alien animals", so I dont think s/he meant the human-like ones;)
Sims 4 also has alien animals as "pets", they come in terrariums and are not that great actually:LOL:
So what they meant is probaly rather like that or rather like in Spore before the civilization stage^^

But I also dont need this in the game, pluse that would have to be pretty much self-made Frontier animals - as far as I know there is no offical and universal animal aliens to use that all would recognize. Not that I would think it will ever happen.

Haha, i know.. I don't think anyone wants the historically accurate human zoo in-game...

Even with the wrong history on this part, people can just check Wikipedia if they are interested more about this subject-matter.
