What is the logic behind restricted military slots not being able to accommodate shield generators?

Shield gens are not military equipment? Just saying
Now tell me, what is the logic of being able to put military equipment in every single slot - imo they should be restricted only to military slots.
That would make a difference between a military ship and a random ship filled with hrp/mrp

A shield generator is not military equipment... but a shield cell bank is? This is what I'm not getting.
Also, I agree. Why are military modules equitable in every slot, but we have also have military-only slots?

That would kill hull tanks even more and they are already dead.
Yea, but no more SCB spaming and if they put a limit on a number of skill boosters a ship can take, shield tanks will also get toned down.
And that would mean an armed trader, well flown and armed, might have a chance against a pvp ship. Wait - there will be no more pvp ships. Only ships.

You can fit anything shield related into military slots, except the shields themselves.

Is the answer: Because none of the military slots are of a size you would use for shield generators in military ships?
Well, unless you were building the ship for a non-military use - but in that case the OPs demand is 'please make military ships & slots more useful for non-military builds' - which is about as logical as shields not being allowed in the first place

Vulture, Mamba, FAS, FDL are all military ships with max class 5 slots. It could be done since I haven't seen larger than class 5 military slots.
