Alright guys. Tonight I dreamed of nasty, bitig insects in real life. Wish I could go back to Planet Zoo dreams right now. It's reaaaally time for some DLC news, don't you all think?
It means I don't believe they can claim to want to focus on education and conservation while simultaneously entering the morally grey and ambiguous world of marine parks.
It definitely is getting to that time. Of course, they might not have anything for us.
Well on steam db they’ve got a unknown app under dlc. Trytothrive brought it up on his YouTube channel. Like he said tho could be nothing. The Arctic pack released dec 17 so that probably puts the next pack at mid March. Although it was brought up Planco released little mods back to the future I believe but there spooky pack took 9 months I heard somewhere so will see I guess.
DeLady mentonied that we are around the time for a Planco update. The time schedule is pretty similar-. Yes, it was an update and not a dlc back then. But Frontier is a way larger company now. They could
a, work on several dlcs simultanously these days and
b. don't need to through out so much free content anymore to get people invested in their games. Which is actually fine with me. I'm self-employed, I don't support working extra for free, unless you are ironing out mistakes (bugs in game) or deliver something you forgot but promised before.

You're trying to get the issue back to discussion. the idea of protecting animals was a sales strategy.
If these animals can reach high levels of welfare in this way, we need to question this game. The size of the area that polar bears want in the game is wrong. Frontier gave up the right one at the request of the players and reduced the space requirement of polar bears.
there is something i wonder Did someone say "do your best to prevent killer whales from being in this game, blame the company or something"? did they offer money?
If this company is a "fake woke" for you, Take a look at how much they care about protection in the game right now. they only express protection in forums and live broadcasts. conservation, just leaving the animals to the wild? this was already in ZT2. it was ZT2 more realistic. at least a helicopter was coming and taking the animal.
I don't think Frontier will give provocative people right very much.
anyway I prefer to keep my mouth tight.

@Swjosdotschka I agree with paying for dlc no problem. I won’t argue against some small free items once in awhile since frontier did this for Planco and JWE.

I think it's pretty normal to pay for DLC. (at a reasonable price and the Arctic pack was a normal price)
When you buy the base game, you know which features/animals are in-game.
When you pre-ordered you didn't, but I also mentioned this in another topic - that's a risk you took yourself.
I don't mind getting free items/stuff/features, though
But I think some people are still a bit demanding like: "This feature needs to be in sandbox".. A lot of games just give their vision of a sandbox feature and you'll have to deal with it. I think Frontier is generous with the sandbox part of this game.
But can't relate with OP with her dreams/nightmares about this game or already thinking about what to build next when you don't play the game
Last time that happened was Ark Survival Evolved.. Some tribe-members even messaged me during work, about new ideas, planning out taming and the current state of certain chores..
Really glad to hear some people are that invested in a/this game...

To get back on topic I have never had a planet zoo dream but I do check every morning for any news of a dlc pack tho. Lions and tigers are my favorite animals and I’ll admit to having this nightmare a few times like having a tiger in the backyard and thinking man what if it ever got out. The damage it could cause I don’t know how people keep these as pets as much as I love them I couldn’t sleep at night.

I work from home and keep coontact with my friends on skype the whole day. Believe me, there is a lot Planet Zoo talking during work time on my part
They don't play the game (at the moment), but my excitement brings us all through the day, currently. Nothing makes the life more worth living than being happy for the little things.(But really, I need my harbour seals. And otters. And sea lions)
@paul78: Haha, I also dream of having weird pets from time to time. Last time wasn't that weird though, I was just adopting three pug puppies (why on earth, I don't even want one!) But yes, first thing I do every morning, when the PC is fired up, is checking the forum for news. Always in mind the sentence: "Today must be the day!"
You know what would be a cool marketing idea? Announce the DLC short before game blast, then, whenever a certain donation sum is met, sharenew info or a screen. "2000 € met? Here's the otter. 5000 € met? Let us introduce a building theme."

That would be cool. The other thing I think about is what the next dlc will be. It could literally be anything at this point. I guess the next dlc will give us more of a idea how dlc will be released also. So far I’m glad nothing has been leaked tho as before when frontier had like five days before launch someone posted a leak that exposed the remaining animals for the game. In a way I was glad to see some made it but you feel bad for the gaming company that tries to surprise their fan base.

Again, I feel you. I'd love to have my best friend playing the game, unfortunately she doesn't have a suitable computer at the moment. As children, we used to play Zoo Tycoon 1 together and it would be so cool to revive that! As of now, I just keep sending her pictures

Don't worry, really. It wasn't your fault and I like to hear about any Planet Zoo dream, no matter which animals are included. Some people just need to learn to not jump on every bandwagon.
Oooohh, yes, the Beta times! I'm sure I dreamed of Planet Zoo then as well. And when the real release day came, I took a week of. I dreamed, eat and breathed planet zoo during that week. One of my friends played at this time as well (she just doesn't feel it at the moment) and took the week off, too. We were messaging us, saying: "I'll start my shift now"
andafter two days found out its better to remind us to eat and take breaks. So the message were like: "Okay, I take a break now, when do you?""We are five hours in, did you drink enough?"
I'm just concerned that you think 7am is an unhealthy wake up time on a week day
I also don't particularly want Orca's. I think this would be a moral storm that is not required for sure. I find myself thinking the same about Dolphins.
