Cleaning large habitat failes (since last update?)

Hello everyone,

I know some of you already have had problems with cleaning habitats. As I described in this post I was able to care for an large habitat with Greater Flamingos successful only struggling with feeding :)

Today I recognized some changes in the behaviour of cleaning the habitat which results in a disaster for me and makes it very hard to proceed. My habitat is shown as only 50% clean even if there are not that much dirty areas (see attached pictures). May population was already reduced to round about 100-130 Greater Flamingos but I do not have less keepers then described. What I have recognized is that it seems that the keepers which are assigned to clean the habitat do not work all at once together in the habitat and just coming one by one (so the next keeper comes after the other one leaves the habitat). Sadly it seems that one cleaning keeper is not enough to care for this habitat. Also it seems they stop cleaning the habitat when they are tired (but before it seems they still work even if they are tired).

So to be specific: The keepers (only get assigend cleaing) come and go to clean the habitat. They clean it but the habitat will never be clean or shown as clean (I have already 3 keepers assigned whose task is only cleaning).

For me this change in behaviour sound like a bug because it seems to make it impossible to handle a large habitat. Also showing that only 50% of the habitat is but showing only some dirty areas looks like a bug too.

Does any one else recognize this change or issue? Then you are welcome to share your experience on this ticket on the issue tracker:

So hopefully it will be fixed soon.

It isn't a bug? Then please let me know what I need to do

Is the max always 50? It is suspicious since it is exactly half of 100, so it might be that your habitat cleanliness is actually at 100% but welfare-wise your flamingos are fed the 50 amount. Normally a habitat that size would be at 100% even with 10 times the poop on those images.

Maybe the dirty areas are under water?

Tbh, haven't seen this radar with dirty areas in the water - unable to check this because i did not encountered it yet..
Had some small issues in some habitats before this, back then I just checked it manually..

Normally poop underwater is supposed to be cleaned by the water treatment plant but an old save file with a new build might cause issues. So perhaps they can try removing water, let the keepers clean it and then refill. From that point onwards water treatment should take care of it, if that's the case.
