Depends on the curve fit method used - might be as low as 300M Cr.
I'm definitely in the under 1B category. My total assets were about 27M until core mining dropped, then I had about 192M in credits in a few months, not sure of the total assets. I'm still at around 192M since I haven't been up to playing in many months, due medical issues. I think I have an iEagle, CMIII, CMIV, a Dolphin, and a Krait Phantom; most are close to fully A rated and some level of engineering.

For myself, four years playing, 5 billion in assets and 1.3 billion current. I would like to have 5 billion in the bank for when fleet carriers drop. The most useful thing for me will be having all my ships and modules (Hopefully it has module storage) to park up at popular dueling spots or whoever whatever group wants to get down. Itll be a nice convenience thing.
Those with 5 billion or more total 2.9%, which is a tad more than the 2.8% who play in Open
Not sure, I don't have much in the bank, but the fleet comprises some pretty expensive ships and a lot of cheaper ones.

I actually bought one yesterday, parked in Sol for hauling biowas... I mean well-paying customers.

Credit balance is in itself doesn't really say much anyway. For about a year I was running a credit balance of around 100m or less. My assets were over 4 billion though.
I wonder what would actually make me cash in my assets. Doubt that will be FCs.
OP, a median credit number of 2 billion is insanely high. Even that survey is skewed because it doesn’t break the numbers down below 1 billion. I have about 50 million credits (not ships).
If i had to guess, the average of all players has to be somewhere under 100 million In actual credits.
