Don't understand why this has happened and don't seem to be able to do anything about it. I am at the crystalline shard site collecting engineering raw mats. When I just collected a material and was going to collect another when in my Srv came up with 'power limit exceeded modules disabled' and then oxygen depleted in a time limit. This seem to happen for no reason and is the first time I have experienced this. So I board ship to see if Srv needed repairing then redeployed but still the same. Has anyone else experienced this? and is there anything that can be done? I can't disable anything because almost everything is disabled, and unlike in a ship you can reboot/repair but in a Srv you cant.

Since you can't reconfigure the SRV (so all the modules will always draw the same power, and the power plant is up to that), my guess would be that you ran out of fuel for the SRV, or your SRVs power plant is damaged. In the first case, you'll either need to dock at a station or synthesize SRV fuel (right hand panel, inventory tab, synthesis). For the second case, docking at the ship should have helped. Do you happen to carry corrosive (thargoid) items?

Well it isn't "emergency fuel" - I think @Rick6549 is referring to the fuel in the ready-use reservoir - the thin line above the segmented fuel gauge and under the heat signature graph (it gets filled from the main tank automatically when it empties).
BTW - SRV doesn't have one - ship only.

Thank you, yes I think that I had run out of fuel, it threw me as I had not long since synthesized basic fuel, and didn't realize how quickly basic fuel runs out. It was stating I was out of fuel but I thought that was caused by power failure because it wasn't very long ago I had refueled. Thank you all again you live and learn lol.
If you're just exploring around and not doing missions or other combat-ey stuff and you want to last longer on basic, you can turn off your shields. They don't protect from ground collisions anyway and they eat up quite a lot of fuel.
