, i have done around 20 missions and always went for reputation instead of more money. You have to do a 'Rank Up' mission once you get to 100% to get the next rank.
Look in mission board with any Empire aligned faction, one will probably have one. Variation of Courier, Assassination, Delivery, Combat etc so can try a different board for a different type if not the one you want. Always at the top of the mission lists and usually separated from the others like a 'follow on' mission.
% Points will rank up in the background so you don't lose extra ranking points while waiting for the mission, eg when you rank up you may be 10% to the next one already.
Good Luck!
What you looking for is one of the missions that would be given to you by the navy. Make sure you located at the station controlled by the faction affiliated with the Empire and make sure you're allied with this faction. Once you're allied with imperial faction controlling your station, some kind of naval mission should become available. Reputation points will continue to accumulate even after you reach 100%, so If you continue running missions for your reputation long enough you might find yourself 100% through next rank as soon as you promoted. Happened to me couple of times.hi,
i want to buy a clipper so i have to rank up for the empire. went from 0% to 100% (no rank) and now its stuck even though i did a lot of missions for the empire.
no sure whats going on, am i doing something wrong?
thanks
That is the right thing to have done.poopoo, i have done around 20 missions and always went for reputation instead of more money.

Factions and superpowers are different. Superpowers are the big over arching ones, factions are the small ones that control assets in systems.does the rank for the other fractions go down if you increase empire rank or can you rank up all at the same time?
