Aliens in Elite: Dangerous

I was thinking: how FD will do to populate the galaxy with life? intelligent life? this may seem a strange question, but think about: with time we will grow tired of fight and interact with human and/or Thargoid enemies/NPCs. So what FD intend to do to fill the galaxy with intelligent life? also, I don't know about you guys, but I would love see me in a situation like the one depicted in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLZW8Deq8vE.

Intelligent life is one of the few cases where I think procedural generation can't do a good job.
No, I don't think we should have procedural civilizations spread across the galaxy.

It's not really lore-supported either. The only non-human civs are the Thargoids and the eulsive forerunner-artifact-mystery-things. I think alien civilization is rare enough to be something completely dev-designed.

As for non-civilization life, yes, I would totally want that. David has promised us big game hunting!

I hope there will be a few space horror scenarios to be discovered when we are able to move around on foot. Some seemingly abandoned stations in space or ruins on planets that are infested with lethal creatures.

It would be awesome if there where alien civilizations to interact, cooperate and even fight with.

I remember in the original Elite there were critters or gremlins that hid in your cargo bay if i'm not mistaking.

Anyway, I have seem Gas Giants with some for of microbial life, according to the detailed terrain scanner.

That is so one of my favourite scenes in B5 (a series im currently watching for what have to be the 10th time, mid season 4 now)
