PC recommendations

Hi all,

I am new to the site and don't have Planet Zoo yet as I don't actually own a PC (I have a work laptop which is hopeless for anything other than word, excel etc). Does anyone have a specific computer they could recommend that meets the recommend requirements for the game. I am desperate to play the game but want a decent system to run it on to get the most out of the game.

Thanks in advance

Get at least a ryzen 3600 this game needs a very good Cpu ! Ryzen is very cheapo and the 3xxx Series is very good ! Gpu department depends on what Resolution you want to play. Also Ram schould be ddr 4 at least 3000 mhz this helps relally in cpu bound scenarios(10-15% more performance in cpu limit which will happen very often !

Thanks for your advice nos93, do you think these would be good enough? Which one would you recommend? Sorry for all the questions but I'm desperate to play the game and want a machine that will do it justice.

i will help gladly even if my english is not the best.

The system with the ryzen is better it has 6 cores just like the intel BUT the AMD has also 12 Threads while the intel just 6 threads(this will be major in the upcomings years as more and more devs will optimize for more cores. Also the ryzen is overall better AMD is rocking the cpu market, also you dont need an overclock amd has done it for you stock is already at max speed.

Also the ram is faster with the ryzen amd system, and fast ram will help a lot in cpu limits which will occur in Planet Zoo often in big Parks. (just dont forget to put in bios the XMP Profile so the ram works at max speed is very easy to do youtube will help if you dont know how takes 2 minutes at best)

The graphics card is good for 1080p Ultra anything above you would want a faster one but for 1080p its very good but has only 6gb Vram!! Thast what sucks about nvidia crads to low memory and 6gb is already not enough in a lot of games unless you turn down textures but who would want that. but yeah the next nvidia card with 8gb is a 2060 super but also way more expensive but also way more future proof.

if you have more questions just ask.

You haven't mentioned a budget, so I'll just give my specs. I run the game on ultra at 1440p; in heavy rain I'm sitting around 70FPS.

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) Coffee Lake i7-9700K CPU @ 3.60GHz
MB: ASUS ROG MAXIMUS X HERO
GPU: Palit RTX 2080Ti
RAM: 16GB DDR4-3200 TEAM NIGHT HAWK RGB
PSU: Corsair RMx CP-9020093 850w
SSD (that PZ runs on): Intel 660P 512GB M.2 PCI-e 3.0 NVMe
SCREEN: ASUS ROG Swift PG27V G-Sync 165hz

This might be a bit overkill if you only intend to play PZ though; however it will play anything else on the market too, lol - I also tend to purchase a PC that'll last over a 5 year period (ie: I don't buy any new parts except when something fails, for about 5 years).

There is no overkill and he will not buy high end hardware. Overkill what a joke Planet Zoo pushes a 9900k under 30 fps(big Zoo) there is no overkill for this game hardwares to weak.
