So I got back into the game after the Arctic DLC launch, which I already owned. And started looking through the space requirements. Then saw that Polar Bears require a whooping amount of space to hold, what the heck why? Elephants don't even require that much space and you can house more in the same space. I understand Polar Bears have massive territories they roam in the wild but this is Planet ZOO, all the other bears require little space and can only house 2 max, asking us to cut 8,000m2 space for only 2 polar bears? Ridiculous. I hope this is getting looked at and fixed with the coming update on the 7th cause if not, I might have to consider just putting Planet Zoo back on the shelf again until the devs fix these weird issues this game seems to have.

Yes you need a very, very big habitat... But with the release of the arcticpack frontier said that every animal has its own challenges... 
The size of this habitat is just one of them and there is nothing wrong with that.
I have had polar bears in my zoo with no issues at all, i mean, it is not like you need the whole map, or that you won't have space for other animals on the large maps

The issue isn't with the space itself, it's that it's out of line with every other animal in the game. The polar bear habitat shouldn't be the same size as, say, an entire zoo section.
I agree. Even after the Change it is way too big and out of Proportion compared to the other Animals. I could keep a Killer Whale in there without any Problems if I would fill my Polar Bear Enclosure completely with Water. I wish they would give the Polar Bears realistic Requirements.
If things don't change then it shows alot about this developmental team and their workings with their community. Which so far, have already been very lackluster. Challenge be damned, 8k m2 is still too much. 2k m2? 3k m2? TOTAL (it's 8k m2 due to water requirement) would be much more exceptionable for just 2 animals compared to 8k m2. I should NOT have to switch over to sandbox and change settings to enjoy an animal I paid money for, ontop of the game + beta & deluxe access. I'm strongly considering not paying for this new DLC as I have no doubt they will try doing this again with another animal in that pack as well.
It says nothing about the team, because they clearly stated when they released the DLC (just like with the new DLC) that each animal has its 'own' challenges...
The size of the habitat is 1 of them.. and they already have reduced it to half the size it was... So yes, they already have listened.And to be honest,I like the challenges that each animals has

Cool, and your the minority. Many of us here came to play this game for fun, challenge yes. But fun. You know how much space 8k m2 is in acres? 1.976. Yea lemme just set aside nearly 2 acres of land for 2 adult polar bears. Not only would my guests NEVER be able to see them as they'd be wandering the expanse but what if I wanna make the place look cool? Well with the recent hitbox changes that also came (i'd assume with the pack itself as it wasnt like this prior) then you are looking at 10k m2 space. No? No realistic zoo is just gonna give out 2 acres to a darn pair of polar bears. Maybe elephants, or any of the huge african herding animals. But 2 adult polar bears? You are the minority, who are content with just shoveling out tons of space to 2 animals. And I'm fine with expansive enclosures, but only for certain animals that it makes sense to do so with. This would have made much more sense on things like the Arctic wolves or Reindeer who travel MILES in the wild in search of food as at least we'd get more out of our land then just 2 adult polar bears, but even then for a zoo, it would still be very unrealistic and weird.

We recently got confirmation that is going to be fixed. Just use the tundra biome and North America filters (and Europe and Asia for the polar bear) for Arctic animals. A few unsuitable foliage doesn't take off that much from welfare anyway. Nice looking fake trees though! Oh cool! Didn't know...
Yes, and having a anti-zoo point inside a ZOO sim is counter intuitive. Again, all that needs to happen is a lowage of space required, 2k m2 or 3k m2 for a pair of adult animals is much more fitting and still give the space challenge without being outrageously out of proportion and downright silly.Yes, we have another topic about it with 9 pages... I don't mind being the minority. And I also bought this game for fun, and I have lots of fun with it
You say your guests would never be able to see them: if you place the paths right, your guests will see everything (I made an indoor viewingpoint, so they could walk 'through' the habitat (within glass borders/roofs ofcourse
) and I had never thoughts about guests who dind't see the polar bears).
