Century City

My 100th ELW now found.

I took the liberty of naming it after a place I'd like to go!

Out near the Circinus Pulsar.

Apologies if not well formatted; still playing with Imgur!

It's not a particularly pleasant planet, but hey, it still counts. ;)

It's a Group 1 planet (small, thin-aired) and certianly on the warm side. At 294 K and only 0.1% water vapour, I'd classify it as "arid". And, of course, it's a "ribbon world" or perhaps an "eyeball planet" - 1:1 synchronous rotation, tidally locked to its star. This planet wouldn't have regular polar icecaps, it would have a scorching, barren Hot Pole pointing at the sun and a dark, frigid Cold Pole likely covered in ice. So it's clearly an example of the in-game rendering not matching what such a world would actually look like.

Thanks! Interesting; I shall have to do some work around this.

I will send/upload pix of a ringed ELW I found half an hour after this one when I get back to Colonia or abandon my FC to penury....
