I bought the tactical graphite for my MKIV. It looks awesome.
New paints for the cutter are still not what I've been waiting for, the limited edition paints were so nice looking at screenshots. It's the colour schemes, I want to retain that Imperial look and I'm not seeing it in those.
As for the bobbleheads, I saved up 9k ARX to get them, only to spend all but 1000 on the Leap Year discount. Got 2.9k since, but I guess I'll finally drop some real money. You ARE getting a lot for it.

And I only went and got a new COVAS on Friday because I thought there were only going to be paints on sale...
Ah, so yesterday paint, today covas and bobbles etc. Assume ship kits too.
I bought the Asemic Black & Gold for the Orca at full price, now it's price is cut lol
It looks good when the paint is kept in good condition, but wear and tear makes it look very shabby ...

I frontier really stuffed up this sale. The amount of bad blood the developer generates towards their own game is immense.. when you think they couldn't go any lower after the fss, we have carriers now. And right in the middle of that, the have a sale.. where the items are only for sale one one day, and you have to buy arx, which leaves you change.. or rather the ability to make yourself a "bundle" out of the sale items is no longer there... unlike it was last time where i bought 2 (more over multiple accounts) packs of arx exactly for this reason.
Buying an arx bundle with change in the hope ill be able to spend it tomorrow? Frontier being frontier and using the money to pay for developers in hungary (as good as they are) while last minute scrambling / rewriting carriers? No thanks.
And i write this, because usually i say all this stuff and buy the arx anyway. This time it truly is easy not to.

I'm guessing ship kits tomorrow, or maybe decals and nameplates ... or viceversa for Sunday/Monday.
Well the sale is most likely due to Easter weekend, and I'm sure for every player with your complaint there are others who like that it's not just one type of thing on sale for 4 days.
I do however wish they would publicise new paints and sales more. I mean what the hell kind of business model has post-purchase transactions available but doesn't bring to light opportunities to purchase them?

Heh, yeah especially that last paragraph rings true for me also. I had another look last night and I spent over 400 Euros on this game since 2016, including a bunch of Arx packs.
Since the FC announcement my outlook for New Era has been shaken so much that I prefer to not dump any more money into this game; I fear Elite's focus is moving into a direction I may not be able to follow.
And little things like the way this sale are set up just annoy me ever so slightly on top of that.
Well, they do send out Store Alert emails / social media announcements when new stuff / sales happen (mostly - they sometimes forget). But I agree - for this event they just said there are discounts over 4 days - no idea what is discounted when. And there was no-email for the 2nd day, so if you were waiting for potted plants or voices in your head you weren't told (edit: Well, social media was told via a tweet).
(Next update should be in 3 hours from this post - I'm betting on ship kits, so it will probably be weapon colours

EDIT: Regarding the new era i'm still holding onto my conspiracy theory that it will be elite 2. If it turns out that way there's a chance it will be okay from the clean slate. If it really is another dlc.. well, yeah we have the last few years of content... /sigh even. They've refined how bare bones a skeleton can be. And they honestly believe themselves when they sell it as the next greatest thing. Not emotional here, that's just the reality outside of marketing excitement.
