Fleet Carriers : Galaxy map tracking

I was going to reply to a thread about FC's having a persistent wake, which I like, but also had another thought...

I was wanting maybe on the galaxy map, to have jump lines showing for fleet carrier. Destinations and previous jumps. Hover over the line, it'd show FC's that did the jumps (sometimes more than one goes to and from the same system). I'm more of a 1 action to do 8 things, as opposed to 1 action gets you 1/2 a thing type. Ok, compromise, how be if you dock in a system, you can buy FC data for 15 credits, so you can see whos coming and going? But many systems dont have stations, so it'd have to be something you can buy, and maybe have to recharge it, for the sensor system to work. A new slot option, for navigation options.

Lore wise, this company that developed the FC's, stumbled on this new way to do huge jumps which is why they jumped into the game so late, but didn't count on a flaw that makes it easily trackable.

or get it from nav beacons?

OR BETTER YET

Add a ships log to the FC - Come up and scan it you can see a list of destinations. (they would have to add rout planing or jump scheduling though)

I could see Nav beacons. The idea struck me, since there were so many FC's. It would take a very long time to scan each one separately. How about being able to use the detailed scanner? It should be something you can scan for on the fly. It'd be helpful to see departure time, as well. These carriers take an hour to prep, but if you get there 5 minutes before it leaves, you're good to hop on. Better yet, colour code them when it gets into launch-window time. White, they're an hour or more out, then say blue for 45 minutes to an hour, green for 30 mins to 45 minutes, yellow for 15 minutes to 30 minutes, orange for 5 minutes to 15 minutes and red for 5 minutes to 2 minutes. I think at 2 minutes, you may not be able to land as that's when the jump sequence starts so 2 minutes till launch the line could be black or chrome?

How about having a toggle in the galaxy map options to show FC’s that are open to the public. That way would be nice for the bubble and for FC’s that are outside the bubble to let explorers out in the black know where they are

Agreed - I heard they added something like this but you have to be docked. -- I am wondering if you are landed on a planet, will it work?

I've started to store cheap Sidewinders in every FC I come across with a shipyard. Then I can always see them on the Galmap.
There seems to be no way the owner can tell that this has been done (I think). So everyone can do this and it's quite pretty to see where all these carriers have gone on the map.

But I don't think I'll bother doing this when it goes live.

I suggested "subrscibing" to a Fleetcarreir, so much like a squadron, you get an extra tab, and you can see logs, event, and what the FCO (fleet carrier owner) wants to push for, making their own mini Community Event.
