Graphic bug!

I played Elite on a computer with a GTX-650ti 1GB, there were no problems. The computer failed, did not play for a while. Now I decided to continue the game on a computer with AMD Radeon R7 200 2 GB, everything works well (high settings, stable FPS), but when I started visiting asteroid belts, I suddenly faced a strange problem - there is a strange one on objects located against the background of space dust "Ripples" in the form of vertical stripes. At the same time, the same asteroids and objects located in the background of open space are displayed absolutely normal. Anyway, everything else works without comment. I wouldn’t fly into the asteroid belt - I wouldn’t notice a problem.

There are no problems in other games. I checked the video card on FurMark and the GPU - everything is fine. Has anyone encountered a similar problem? I would be very grateful for advice / help in solving!

Also, sounds counter intuitive, but turn the graphics settings down. A 2gb card is really only capable of medium/high (mix of the 2) settings due to memory constraints.

Quite simply, it is the GPU trying to load too much into its graphics memory and having to cull textures, in that situation.

I’m no expert on AA, others might have a better idea and I will read and learn. In the meantime, does your GPU have monitoring software which can report the load and temperature on the GPU?

What I would do is to make a backup of your bindings and experiment with the settings. If it gets messed up, restore them. On a PC the folder is located at:

%username%\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Bindings

Yes, of course, I checked the load and temperature. I keep an eye on this constantly. In addition, I checked the performance using FurMark and GPU. In addition, software is constantly installed on the computer that constantly monitors the performance of the video card. Everything is fine there. I'll try to experiment with the settings and apply the tips given above.

Solved a problem! For some reason, the wrong resolution was chosen in the graphics settings of the game, I didn’t even pay attention. Thank you for participating!
