Deciat in open is pretty fun

I have a lot of fun since I based myself in Deciat (Garay Terminal). People are talkative and there are a lot of interactions. I have been ganked and that's less fun but often when I get interdicted, it's someone who only wants to talk. Do you have the same experience as me around here ?

Maybe I am lucky but I have only been ganked 3 times in around 10 hours. They did it for no reason (Nothing in cargo, I was just on my way to do a mission each times). But I have been interdicted by commanders at least 10 times.

Usually they say it's to test the reaction of other commanders or to warn them of dangers. I fly a small ship (Cobra 3) so maybe this explains it.

I would fit a hatch breaker limpet, and take their stuff as a thanks for the warning :D
Would be cool to pirate someone who interdicts you...

I went to Flic yesterday in a Hauler (one of my non Cobra Mk IV accounts) and the few hollow icons seemed to be chasing each other. When I dropped out of glide at Flic's there was only one hollow icon and it just disappeared - either coincidence or someone pulling the plug on having another hollow icon appear. I did switch to system chat for a while but there was a distinct lack of activity. Maybe all the kiddies are in Borann?

Does farming the wreckage for mats count as piracy? Cause I learned a long time ago that if someone interdicts you, its best just to turn around and start blazin'!

Hm... CMDRs in Deciat able to interdict - but they supposedly haven't figured out how to operate Text Chat while in SuperCruise?

What dangers are they warning you about? If you post them here it will save them the trouble of having to interdict you and do mention to them that chat works in SC as mentioned above. Then they can get on with their game instead of feeling obliged to make public service announcements in the most inefficient manner possible.

I admit, I did that recently. The first time I interdicted someone in 4 years. He had a pretty weird loadout on a newbie miner. I interdicted and started a little chat to give him some advise after he stopped panicking ;-)

Used to be a lot of fun in Open around Sothis, way back, actual piracy. Deceit has always been a cesspool, every cmdr I have met there is a newbie killer, and couldn't fight their way out of a wet paper bag. That was over a year ago, no idea what it's like now, don't want to know.
