It would be much easier to build water habitats and scenery if we had a bit more freedom with the water portion of the terrain tool. I understand the path and water limitations, but it would be really nice if we could add water to constructed creations without having to bury it and try to fight with carving out the ground. Things like making our own custom fountains, or using glass walls for a habitat provided the edges are sunk into the ground.
For example, I'm trying to build a fountain that's sunk into the ground but the water only goes up to just below ground level even though my fountain walls are slightly above it. I'm not looking for it to be right on the edge of the fountain wall, but where it sits is not realistic or visually appealing. My fountain would be watertight if it was real and would easily be filled to an ideal level but I cant. If a tweak was made to the terrain's water function or to how the game views construction pieces, it would fill like its supposed to.
Even with barriers its subject to going no higher than just below ground level, even though the top of the barrier is sitting level with the top of my fountain. Theres at least a good two feet of space that theoretically COULD be filled with water, but its "obstructed".
