Shall we talk about that?
Apparently FD very quietly announced acquisition of a Warhammer license from GW to develop an RTS.

You do realise the stringent hoops FDEV will have to jump through to get the game done, GW isn't renowned for letting just anyone release a GW branded game. This in itself could mean they start it now then make sure that GW like it before release.Nice. And before anyone screams about the ED delay... The game isn't due for release until 2023.
GW are actually known for exactly that - giving Warhammer license to just about anybody. Just look at the amount of WH and WH40k branded games out there. Literally hundreds, if not thousands. And absolute majority of them are terrible. You do realise the stringent hoops FDEV will have to jump through to get the game done, GW isn't renowned for letting just anyone release a GW branded game. True but Frontier, alongside Star Citizen did revise the space ship flying genre. Mainly Frontier actually, almost single handedly, to the point even Ubisoft is producing one, an EA added such elements to a call of duty game.Just read about it and was searching the forums to see if it was mentioned already

A Warhammer Age of Sigmar RTS is coming from Elite Dangerous developer Frontier
Arriving on PC in 2023.www.pcgamer.com
Interesting path of development, but a bit risky tbh.
I thought RTS kinda succumbed to MOBA for quite some time already

Pretty sure there is still a good market for RTS over MOBA just as there is still a good market for first person adventure and other games over online FPS shooters.

No no no, Total War Warhammer 2 is actually an excellent Warhammer game. And it shouldn't take 15 minutes to calculate a turn, shouldn't even take 1 minutes especially on first turn. I think your PC might need retirement, sirWell, i tried Total War Warhammer 2, but it ran like a dog on my computer, but it looked good. Just 1 turn took about 15 minutes to calculate after clicking end turn... on turn 1!!!! Now, i'm willing to accept that in part its due to my comp, but i don't see how a total war game should take so long. Medieval 2 runs like lightning... its just basic calculations, so can only presume the graphics are killing it somehow.
Anyway, that's real Warhammer, the fantasty side. Don't care about the sci-fi side, which should never have been spawned, and was purely a corporate decision to make more money from people.

TW:WH2 has some properly bad optimization on global map, that is true. However, it's mostly related to poor GPU utilization. But it shouldn't have long turn times. Especially considering how much work aimed at that issue they've done. It's faster than in WH1, or Rome 2 for example. Especially considering how many factions there are in WH2, on a mortal empires campaign that is. Which includes every major and minor faction from both WH1 and WH2.I know it shouldn't, and no idea why it does. Its just a strategy game. I play many other games just fine, including much more intensive ones.
But had to refund it because it was literally unplayable.

I've got a GTX960... ok, its not exactly a top end card, but for a total war game (especially on strategy map) it shouldn't need to be.
Something is broken with your install/driver/settings then as my Mrs gaming machine runs it swimmingly with less than that
