Looking for a peaceful PvE private group

Hi, usually I play in Solo or Open but am looking for a nice PvE group where the only draconian rule is that for PvP, if a player so much as licks the paint on someone else ship, it's basically instant life time perma ban from the PG. I may occasionally want to flirt with BGS activities but I'm not looking to make a career out of ED; as most people, I just dip in and out for some gentle escapism after work.

For me I have a coffee shop mindset. It's nice to be around people and to know that you're there though that doesn't mean I want to necessarily interact - I get plenty of that in my day job.

If there's a group that really fits, I would be very interested, otherwise I'll just tick on in solo.

Fly safe CMDRs and be safe.

Mobius PG seems like the only option for you outside of Solo. Though why you would want to join a group and NOT want to socialize with any of its members seems contradictory to me.

lol because the coffee shops are closed :geek:

I went through the whole registration and connect process with Mobius but they never came back to me so maybe they're defunct now(?) Just guessing.

😂

Mobius is still very much active I would guess. I have never used it but I know it is a very large community.

You can try ISF we are a small group of commanders based mainly in the UK and playing most evenings. We are an Independent faction with the goal of supporting other Independent factions.

We do a range of in game activities supporting our BGS, but mostly people potter doing what they fancy and every now and again we hang out in voice chat, though there is no pressure to do that.

Feel free to drop by our discord to hang out and have a chat of you fancy.

Mobius sounds about up your street, I don't know if fleetcomm are still around but they've got similar rules.

I started out in mobius PVE but I didn't bother reapplying when they split up into regional groups.

Protectorate of the Northern Hemisphere are a brand new European PC based PVE group of Commanders who have enjoyed playing the game of Elite Dangerous for the last few years. We have a broad and varied range of skills within the game and certainly do try and "Blaze our own trails". We take new players and help them find there feet whether it be to get cash, engineering or just experience in some new element of the game. We have a wealth of experience in the Background Simulation, Powerplay, Combat, Mining, Ship Builds, Guardian and Thargoid discovering. We also take on seasoned players who are looking for something a little different. PotNH are an easy going bunch of players and welcome any members who are happy to come along, have a chat and stay a while. We also like to organise events such as Generation Ships tours, SRV racing or just some daft shenanigans which involve having a laugh and not taking the game seriously. It is only a game after all.

Why not pop over to our Discord Server @ https://discord.gg/tPCbP4T and post somerthiing about yourself in the #new-join-comms-channel.

Greetings CMDR,

If you would like to join a squadron, might I suggest my squadron? Take a look at The Fallen Ones. We have a base in Wolf 497 and our own faction and about 35 members currently. We are independent, not aligned to any superpower or power, in particular, so whichever power you pay homage to is fine with us. We are mainly focused on growing our own faction, and helping each with mining, bgs, exploration, etc.. We are a mature, drama-free squadron and we hope to keep it that way.

If this sounds like a good fit for you, there are two steps you can take to pursue joining our ranks. First, in game on your right hand panel, go into the squadron panel, and search for "The Fallen Ones" and apply to join. You may also enter our discord channel by going to https://discord.gg/qtNPkD6

Well, that's about it, I hope you decide to take a look and get to know us. See you in the bubble CMDR. o7

Thanks for the advice and suggestions everyone. I did join into Mobius in the end but I have never come across anyone, it's basically the same for me as playing in solo and I generally hang around in the area near Shinrata and the normal res sites in the bubble. Clearly space is big lol.

Hi aXeL, did you find the player group you were looking for?

Feel free to join our brand new player group, the After Earth Stellar Alliance [AESA]. It was started by myself and fellow commander Judge Gudge. At the moment there are only a few but we are hoping to grow the group. It's very relaxed game play, play as often or as little as you want. We think it's more fun if you play with friends and you are welcome to join our Squadron regardless of how much you play. You can join our private group as well if you just want to be safe but play with other people.

I personally play in VR, with HOTAS we play a variety of styles. We are small at the moment but once we have enough players (minimum of 10) we will be registering the player group with Frontier and applying to be a minor faction in game. If successful it means we get a home station in game and we will be responsible for the economy and state within that star system. Plus it means we can work to expand into other systems using the different styles of gameplay that are on offer in game.

We do ask that you join our discord server (where we have text and voice channels) and have an inara account (which is very cool).
Discord Invite: https://discord.gg/kmZArfc
If you want to join our squadron, first apply here: https://inara.cz/squadron/6693/ then we will hook you up in the in game squad. There is just a couple of us in the squad at the moment, but like I said we are very new to player groups but experienced in game.
If you have any questions get in touch, Discord probably best place to do that.

Both Judge Gudge and I are in Colonia at the moment and some other guys have just recently joined. But if you join our discord you can jump onto our Bridge Comms voice channel and chat to us whilst your playing providing we are online. I will be heading back to to the bubble in the near future, but not sure when exactly. Our timezone is GMT London.

Yes. You could run across people while doing CGs (when they still existed) or in organized mayhem (like CCC or DW2), but running across anybody randomly is pretty rare. And, from your first post, you wouldn't want to meet a lot of the people who habitually hang out around Shinrarta, Deciat or San Tu. Borann is still supposed to be busy with people who want to join in on the goldrush.

The other questions would have been - which platform and which timezone? Meeting up across timezones can be a bit difficult - especially if we're talking Europe vs. US vs. Australia. And different platforms still don't mix. Even central Europe and UK can be difficult - I'm on CE(S)T, and used to meet up with a nice bunch of people who are on UK time. Sadly, though, when things got really going, it was usually time for me to leave again, as I need to get up on the next day and need my 8 hours. If you want to give them a try, don't let yourself be discouraged by the name. The fighting is done in cheap disposable ships, and it's not all or everything that's on the agenda.
Other player groups (and less closely knit communities) therefore "meet" mostly in Discord. One example for that would be the Buckyball Racing Club (current event see my .sig, Discord would be https://discord.gg/YwxcsCf ). Any (well, most of them, honestly) damages you incur would be self-inflicted - but be prepared to go through several ships on each race

The ability to control and consolidate territory is dependent upon the ratio of your available military power to the volume to be controlled and consolidated. Sacra Oculus has passed that point and requests Commanders looking to participate in the BGS to come join us. We control 40 out of 57 systems we are presently established in and if we are to consolidate and control and continue further, the ever repeated cycles of expansion that are presently a way of life on the fringe, where we are already expanding more than 45.8 LY at a time, we need more pilots.

That's the basic truth. We need more pilots. We are a small group which has amassed a string of successes, but we are now way beyond our existing abilities and need fresh blood.

Evening!

You're more than welcome to join the Orbis server. We're a mixed bunch of humans that play Elite Dangerous as well as other games with the server helping to keep us together and in touch, regardless of our game of choice at any one time. We're pretty casual too!

Our server is also home to the Corvus Intelligence Group (CVIG), an Empire-affiliated, small squadron based on the outer fringes of the bubble and reasonably close to the engineer, Broo Tarquin's home system of Muang.

CVIG is primarily a BGS squadron that looks to support and undermine factions within our region of space but we also have close ties with the Mobius community and our squadron members regularly hook up with other players of the PVE community for some fun, especially now with the absence of community goals and interstellar initiatives. If you're a member of the Mobius facebook page, you may have seen a couple of recent meetups that have been organised.
