I was led to believe there was a subforum dedicated to astronomy and/or cartopgraphy, but I can't seem to find it. Are there any here or perhaps on other, related ED forums?

Newcomer / Intro Astronomy section?

When the forum was revamped some time ago F D obviously decided that a space-game no longer needed an Astronomy sub-forum so it was dumped. As @Ashnak says, there are sometimes threads in the Exploration sub-forum (especially cartography) but it crops up in the Off-Topic Discussions sub-forum where the threads can carry an "Astronomy/Space" label.
