Newcomer / Intro changing screenshot folder?

There's nothing like that in settings. So unless you're good at hacking the game files, you're going to have to put up with it, I'm afraid.
What's wrong with Pictures folder?

If you can run EDDiscovery it can be set to automatically convert the format of screenshots rename them according to a selected scheme and save them in a chosen folder.

It really is a great feature of the EDDiscovery treatment of screenies - the automatic (re)labelling of them. Goodbye "Screenshot0234.bmp" - hello "Dromi (20200309-145836).png" - you can select file name format as well as image type - it really is the Anthophila's leg joints and makes images you are looking for stand out like a male canine's gonads. ;)

i get them saved to my nvme ssd and i want it on my sata ssd. since the sc are pretty big in size i dont want to always delete stuff from the nvme so it lasts as long as possible.

Damn! I wish I'd kown about that sooner! Very handy - thanks for the heads up!

No way that I know of to change the in-game screen capture functionality.

I recommend just using a 3rd party screen grabber.

You can move your whole pictures directory structure from one drive to another by using the location property of your pictures system folder.
I use that to move pictures, music and documents off my ssd onto a much larger hd.

There's a Windows command called MKLINK which redirects folder output.
It might suit your purpose.

These things are called Symbolic Links - there's an app called Symlink Creator which makes it a little less techie.
I use it as part of a Firefox extension to redirect downloads away from the SSD onto a standard HDD.
It works OK for me - not sure if it'll work with Elite - might be worth a go if you're a bit nerdy and like these things.
