It's time to give us teleportation

Similar to what Linnunrata has already said, I’d have been quite happy for Telepresence to have never been implemented as a lore explanation, and instead gone with, “It’s A Game”. If players absolutely, positively required a lore-ification, I’d have gone with the multiplayer avatars being previously unseen NPC crew members, or something of that ilk.

That said, I wouldn’t have any problem with the game letting me to chose which ship in my (small) fleet to play in at the login screen. It’d be similar to having separate Commander save slots (remember that idea?).

Not teleportation though, no ones going to scatter my atoms through space mutter mutter etc etc /McCoy

It was also suggested 1 year earlier than ARX to earn paintjobs with ingame currency and there was a popular NO
Instead I say YES.
Teleportation is part of Sci-Fi. A lot of movies and games that did not use it actually struggled to explain fast travel.
So I prefer teleportation than fancy and complex explanations like telepresence accross the complete galaxy.

I think you are more of an NMS player than an ED player.

I'd argue that there's more science fiction worlds that don't have teleportation.
It's not a matter of majority/minority. Teleportation is part of sci-fi and ED is a sci-fi game so you can't exclude it a priori.
If ED was a game based on Greek Myths or Medieval Wars then definitely no

Nice try in OP, but ... NO! 😋 ... btw multicrew was imo the biggest fail (as mechanic) implemented into ED so far. It have some good parts (coding), but the most what I like (idea) is use it for my NPC crew and sit it into my ship cockpit (this would be ultimately cool feature!).

Why stop at teleportation between ships, why not have teleportation everywhere. Quantum entangle oneself instantly to BP and back, whose game would it ruin if I could do it?

Yet we're communicating in (almost) real time right now despite being thousands of LYs apart. This forum is a third-party tool. Just sayin 🤷
Erm. I'm at home and the forums are probable housed not that far from me.

I don't use third party tools to help me play the game. I use the forums to communicate with other people and the Devs.

Because extremes are never wise and they never work.

I’ve never seen that picture before, but sad man that I am, I thought “that looks like the guns from Forbidden Planet. And the background, too. Also, pretty ladies” :D

A quick googlin’ and it’s apparently from “Queen Of Outer Space” which looks like it pinched quite a few props & costumes from one of my favourite films. I’m going to try and watch it later.

Why it wouldn't work that I could teleport anywhere I want? People who don't want to teleport could just not use the feature.
because this (teleportation) would make numerous, in-game already existing, features redundant. Next to this would be uneccessary buy more accounts (for example one for acting in Bubble and one for deep-space exploration) and thus reducing income for Frontier ... so from business viewpoint would be such feature also nonsense ... result of this is quite obvious ... NO teleportation :sneaky:
