returning player - riding the neutron highway - and planets are not showing up after scan

Out of 140 Systems dozens of systems with dozens of bodies i have double honked and these bodies arent showing up..they just seem to be FAKE numbers....
so is that all my exploration for naught or what? (kinda obvious that is always happens to systems that are not on the beaten path but a step aside from the highway)

Switchting sessions didnt help either.

I thought this was fixed YEARS ago?

1 example out of many
This system supposed to have 55 bodies and all that shows up in the list are 10 asteroid belts
other systems just show the stars and no other bodies ...
as you see no filters are set to the left

to me it seems as if surrounding star systems are counted as bodies ??? But these bodies are not part of the system so why would i get SCAN results for those.

Then again i made the effort to manually count them in the list and the numbers still dont add up.

Exactly that ^. When they updated exploration gameplay they introduced the FSS.

The honk only tells you how many bodies are in the system now. You then have to use the FSS to scan for and resolve all of those bodies, or as many of them as you think you may be interested in. Only after that will they appear on the system map.

If a player (not just you, ANY player) has previously scanned all or some of the bodies in a system, those bodies are shown on the system map immediately with a honk.

To paraphrase Microsoft, this is a feature not a bug.

This might be useful for you: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/the-fss-a-pictoral-guide.464149/

Instead of just editing your post after we explained what was going on maybe you should have actually read the posts by @Red Anders and myself. What is the point of asking a question and then not reading the answers?

Your screenshot shows that the nav panel displays everything that has been "discovered" by you so far - i.e. all stellar bodies (discovered by the "honk") and everything within the passive detection range (30ls) - in this case the asteroid clusters. You need to use the FSS to scan for and so "discover" the rest - or of course you could supercruise into the passive detection range having noted the presence of bodies by parallax but why would anyone ever do that?

I repeat - go into your right hand panel and look up the exploration tools in the handbook or read some of the stuff on the forum or even look at some recent videos and stop making yourself look like a .

That is not true - look at the times (Last edited: Yesterday at 1:10 PM) - I would have commented on your screenshot if it had been present as, I am sure, would @Red Anders - so unless your edit was held awaiting approval then you must have missed our replies.
