Frontier, we have to talk about the quality of animals in franchise animalmarket

Please, could you explain to me, why you put so many totally crappy animals like this one in the market?

Not only the stats are beneath the carpet (literally), but the animal is also close to old age.
Don't misunderstand me: I'm not looking for "perfect" animals from Frontier, but they should at least be anything near average and no grannys.

Edit: I know you don't want to spoil the breeding-successes of your players, but all this results in are horrendous prices for decent/average female animals. Those get their weight in leaf-currency. ;)

Because players can buy these animals for a very reasonable price. New players don’t have the money or CC to pay for top-rated animals. Frontier probably also doesn’t want to undercut current market prices for player animals. Nobody would be able to sell their animals at a good price, if they knew that Frontier offers them for a fraction of that price. You don’t have to buy any animals with stats you don’t like.

Frontier does offer higher quality animals, sometimes even gold ones. You just need to come back once or twice (or if you’re looking for an entire herd more times) to find what you need. And you can breed gold animals relatively quickly from animals with half-way decent stats.

The problem are not the animals offered by Frontier, but the fact that too few players sell their own animals on the market because it’s much faster to simply release them. Do you sell all your animals on the market or do you release them? If the latter, you definitely should not complain because you (and I as well, although I try to sell more) are part of the problem.

Well, since the first day I play franchise (which is about a week or something now) I've never seen any animal from Frontier, that had halfway decent stats. And I do look very often! Specially not the little monkeys above (don't know what they are called in english). They are always total crap.

You have to differentiate between animals, which are easy to breed and/or popular (like black panthers). There you get a market that is fully working. But there are those other animals which are unpopular or hard to breed (some of them suffer from that bug or non-bug, that the mothers won't get another child unless their former child reaches adulthood and need many years to reach that.) There are literaly no females in the market (either than from frontier) because players are hording them. Those little monkeys for instance need large groups and produce only very few babies.

The easy to breed animals there are sides and sides of them, and really good ones at reasonalble prices. I always look into the market, if I have some animals I want to get rid of. If there are more than 5 sides of them already in the market, I release them to the wild. If there are only a handful of animals, I sell them. I would be very stupid to release an animal to the wild, getting only 20 leafs, if I could sell it for 500 (or even more)!.

I bought some good bronze animals that were basically silver animals in stats.
I check the market on regular basis, some species are difficult to find and a lot of them are bad.

This took me 2 minutes according to my screenshot saves:

And that’s exactly why Frontier does usually not sell top animals. If they would, they would either have to adjust to the average market price, asking hugely inflated prices, and thereby hurting new players, or, by keeping their current price strategy, to drastically undercut the market price and thereby hurting selling players and maybe even discourage some from selling at all. And you said yourself, you sell your animals for more than their default price. Why would you expect cheap Frontier animals to always be of high quality? And since this poor monkey seems to be the only one left of Frontier’s animals, you can be sure that the other monkeys had decent to good stats and just sold really fast.

But I have never had major problems finding Frontier animals with 50-67% ratings throughout or even better with maybe one low stat, usually size or immunity. And on and off even a gold animal. It just might take some time.

The increased storage is helpful since you can keep an eye out for better Frontier animals long before you’re actually ready to populate your habitat. Particularly if you can tell that certain species or females are harder to find.

If we all (and again, I include myself there) would sell most of our high quality animals for a reasonable price (i.e. not much higher than the suggested price), we wouldn’t have to rely on Frontier’s animals. But since there are so few animals available for a lot of species, this allows mediocre animals to be sold for thousands of CC. And people don’t bother to sell for fair prices since they have plenty of CC and it’s too much trouble selling them all individually on the market. That is the core problem, in my opinion, not the cheap and often lower quality animals offered by Frontier.

We are lucky that Frontier decided to put more animals on the market. In the past, there often was not a single animal available for some species or maybe one or two zero fertility ones for 10k CC.

ETA: Check how many minutes are left before a new batch of Frontier animals willbe loaded. This gives you better chances to find good deals before they’re snatched up.

And in a new batch on the market found 2 decent females.

It's not impossible or really difficult to find decent ones. I think they improved on this one compared to the first couple of weeks.

I never asked for "top animals", all I want are animals with not 3 red stats out of 4 and the fourth yellow and the animal close to being infertil and of old age!
Why are you twisting my words?

@NL_Mutso: I looked at the market about every 10 minutes in the last hour, but I didn't see those females you are showing there.

OK - so you are right, and I am going to wait until I got plenty of CC, too (hope, I can sell some panthers for lots of CC) (but please don't hit me anymore) :p

Tbh, i'm really surprised you can't find them. Sorry but Capuchin Monkey seems to be one of the better finds on the market.
I'm posting a lot of screenshots, because I really can't relate to your issue with the animal market in Franchise.

Even a fast bronze search (only 2 options):

And even a silver one atm:

I could post at least 3 screens of 3 red stats monkey girls. @NL_Mutso: You had many males inbetween (I didn't noticed at first sight) - so no wonder I didn't see them. I was looking for females.

Aaaahhhhh - that's the trick! Ok, it worked. Thanks. :)
