I'm working on unlocking Palin with 5000 LY trip. So I wanted to go to these crystalline clusters and fill up raw materials. So I just finished filling up the closest one, antimony, then I'm going to head to the next few.
What I'm wondering, where should I head after that? I looked at the galaxy map, Heart & Soul nebulae are sort of close, as well as Seagull. I googled heart and soul, and it said it is a gateway to Formidine Rift, which I had previously read about a bit. I was wondering if anyone goes out there exploring?
Anyway, just wondering if anyone has any advice for things to go look for out there. Most of the time I read about exploration, people are heading to the center of the galaxy, not the fringes behind the bubble.
Also, I flew past 33 systems and after the 2nd one, none of the planets were mapped. I was wondering, what would make a random commander map out these systems and find the crystalline clusters? The codex seems to say that they were discovered years ago. I realized that during my FSS, some of the planets say "Refining Scan" up in the top right corner, is that what tips people off to go explore geological sites without having DSS scanned the planet? Seems fishy to me that someone would randomly find that stuff, and it just happens to drop huge amounts of G5 materials? CMDR Veronica... do you work for FDev?
