Newcomer / Intro probably obvious question about source missions

Hey,
I'm just now getting into this game, like I've completed less than a dozen missions. I picked up some missions to source some commodities and return them to a station, grabbed the cargo, and flew back. However, now that I'm here, it's not letting me turn in the mission. The active missions aren't even showing up on the mission board, but they're still on my transaction tab and it still tells me I need the cargo for a mission, but in the station the missions are just... gone. I've tried undocking and redocking, restarting the game, exiting the game and waiting a few hours, still no dice. I assume I'm just missing something obvious, and would appreciate any guidance.

A screen-shot of the mission details via the Transactions tab of your left-side UI might give us a clue.

That's weird. Active missions should show up on the mission board. The faction that issued the mission should be on top of the board with an exlamation mark (!) behind its name. Are you sure it's a source and return mission? As @Para Handy said, a screenshot would help.

--edit: Sorry the exclamation mark is on the mission board itself.

Here, I've got 7 units in my hold right now.

I would suggest you probably didn't pick up the cargo from the mission board at Dromi since you say you have 7 units that probably means you bought them in a commodities market.

Aha - looks like it might well have been a source and return after all. Sorry about that

Source & Returns are not always highlighted. That's not a source & return....

Pic of the mission tab for the faction pls!

Probably is another 'I didn't pick up the cargo'. Always check the inventory tab

and yeah, it's source and return three units of polymers

There is a difference between source and return and transport. Source and return are issued at the same place you bring the bought stuff back to. Your mission looks to have been originated at Dromi and so is a transport goods (picked up from the mission details itself) - not a "go fetch" one.

That being the case, go back to Dromi and pick up the mission goods from the mission board.

Just checked an looks like it probably was a source and return mission. Sorry.

Looks like I was doing the OP a disservice. sorry. Just checked in-game and sure enough the supply and return missions give a pick-up system. (Is that just in the starter zone?)

This is definitely a source and return mission I just accepted:

So - again - sorry about that.

Weird. This is a source and return mission I just picked up in the bubble. Looks like there are two message formats.

Yeah I think in the starter zone there is more "guidance" for the pilot, I was sure that there was no "pick up system" normally, that is what confused me initially and so I went into my mucking-about-in-the-noob-zone account to check.

Do source and return missions require you to go through the mission board somewhere that sells them? I thought that was delivery missions

here's the mission board btw, no ongoing missions mentioned

That's puzzling. The game knows about the mission because the commodities market marks it as mission related cargo. You're in the right sysytem at the right station. Filter is set to ALL. The mission should be on the mission board somewhere.. Just to be sure. Did you scroll down?
