New Discoveries are "validating"

Mine appear immediately. i am using a PC, but i have no idea that there is any delay with the consoles.
I did come across a few already validating. However the ones I scanned were blank with no name, then after I've sold the data they've appeared as validating.Hah! I though that was a Commander's name. He/she sure gets around!
I have not yet made any firsts since leaving the FC Beta behind and going live once again, but in the Beta the labels appeared immediately.
It’s not that - but unfortunately this doesn’t mean the issue will resolve. It’s a very longstanding bug, one that I’m trying to get fixed. To do this we all need to upvote the issues on Frontier’s tracker. Please vote on these issues to raise their profile and get the devs’ attention!

This issue coupled with the ARX issue, the future of ED does not look good for Xbox users right now!

But seriously, recording data has always been a problem for FDEV, there shouldn't ever be a situation where validating appears on the system map, that seems to be some sort of problem with the way data is either being stored, if the data is arriving at FDEV with corrupted characters then "validating" is part of the errors message I would expect the database to send to the devs, it shouldn't appear as a CMDR name, ie "Failed to validate data for record XXXX"
Way back when the game was in early development that probably discussed what to do if bad data arrived in the database and the decision was made to replace it with "validating" until they could get the problem sorted out, which hasn't happened. The problem is I don't think there's any way to attach corrupt data that doesn't include a CMDR name, which is what may be corrupting, with any particular CMDR. Has anyone ever had their discoveries recorded as "validating" originally and then changed to their name later?
I've never actually heard of a CMDR's own discoveries being shown as "Validating" before now; usually, you can always see all your own discoveries with your name attached properly, and those on the same platform as you, but CMDRs from other platforms show as "Validating".

I am on PC and have seen "Validating" all over the systems I've been visiting near G 59-7, and on the route between the Pleiades and Alioth, so it does not seem to be Xbox-specific. I've traveled that route many times and do not recall seeing Validating before the last week or two. These systems are all in or very close to the bubble, so I would be surprised if they were recently mapped -- all the "Validating" labels were for first-mapped, none for First Discovery. This is why I thought it was a Cmdr's handle, these are well-explored systems, so whatever the issue it seems to affect even long-claimed objects. Odd that it is only for mapping, though.

Well, I'm on Xbox, and I have to say that I see the Validating tag really frequently - since starting back from Semotus Beacon in December. Even my own discoveries show up as "Validating"! PC/PS4 CMDRs show up in their correct form though - for discoveries and mapped bodies...

I had well over 10 complete systems between the bubble and Lagoon Nebula unallocated or blank so I claimed them. They are now 'validating' as I've bookmarked them all.
I was surprised there were so many undiscovered systems close by but I avoided fuel stars for a good part of the journey and found loads.
I'm a bit disappointed as it would be nice to have my name against at least some of these discoveries. Most people know how long it takes to scan fully and map a system

I’ve got it for all of mine on Xbox. All we can do is get the bugs upvoted.
