General Munitions bay?

I'd have no complaints if something like this was implemented, the only thing is that I like that the current situation makes me consider my builds and what I should use.

For example, my frag/plasma Mamba will cut through a medium CZ in 10 minutes or less. It'll then need a reload, which will be some expensive synthing or could take a long trip to the station that will add extra turnaround time to doing each CZ. An all laser build in that situation would take longer to clear the CZ, however it'd potentially be better overall due to not having to deal with ammo. I know not everyone has the same view on needing to make compromises in that manner though.

I'm sure someone could argue the benefits of owning a fleet carrier and parking this nearby. Granted, any grade of munitions module would be significantly cheaper!

Personally I would see either a munitions module being in place or weapon synthing, not both (I would want premium ammo taken out either way, but that's another discussion). For normal ammo, the requirements are quite cheap and any excuse to be out in the SRV is a good thing. That's just my opinion though.

Military slots can put module and hull reinforcement, but so can other slots. So I don't think it should be limited to them.

It's worth remembering that military slots were added as extras to ships for the sole purpose of adding protection. If they were removed, they wouldn't be used for more space, they'd just be gone.
