Newcomer / Intro Find where a friend is the last time they played without them online

Not sure if this is possible, but is there anyway to find out where your friend would have last parked their ship before they sign in and activate the wing beacon etc. Besides having them remember where they were last or have them log in to find out and let me know? I am pretty far away from them sometimes as we can't play that often but I would want to end my play session before meeting up with them at least on the way to their last location.

Maybe if we shared each others frontier id's to use in a third party web app or something?

Check his/her logs. Or they could get an Inara profile that they can update directly from the Frontier account and have them share current system.

As far as I know this only works if they are in the same squadron as you. Otherwise you can use a third party tool like Inara to find their location provided that they are registered there.

I don't think that's right. I can see where friends are even when it been a couple of years since I friended them and have never been in a squadron.

The only thing you can see (unless your friend is online) is when they were last active. Location only shows when they're online.
