Because it's not listed as VR Support on Steam at the moment. And despite answering previous and dare I say much more obvious questions in this very thread, we havent heard anything about it.Lolwut? There has been VR support in Elite almost since the beginning, why would you think this expansion wouldnt have VR support?![]()
Because VR in fps is quite different to Elite's sitting in chair approach, Hotas support for movement isn't easy and because it's not (yet?) included in the steam description?Lolwut? Because it's not listed, the trailer released the day the Sony conference was supposed to go live and Sony has purchased timed exclusivity of vr support before.Lolwut? There has been VR support in Elite almost since the beginning, why would you think this expansion wouldnt have VR support?
Like, you fly in VR, then you land and you have to take the headset off because youre walking now?
Yes, there will be VR support, 100% guaranteed.
This is why... a slight concern....Lolwut? There has been VR support in Elite almost since the beginning, why would you think this expansion wouldnt have VR support?

That is content.I don't need space legs, give me actual content!
Great video.
two hopes:
- comes with more ships (at least the Cobra MkIV
- will support PSVR on the playstation (5?)
No you won't.Frontier,
...I love you. I do. But I need you to say, clearly, one way or the other: are we getting fully atmospheric planets? Will I be able to land on ELWs, or not? My fear is "no," because if we were going to get that, you would have said that...so SOME atmo world's, but not all?
Clarity. Please. Thanks!
It's been 2hrs and 16mins ... we can't wait any longer ... it's just tooooo exciting! To all the people demanding details, they have already said that(finally!) they will release more info with dev diaries and more info in the coming months. So just wait and see.
I was mainly just addressing that it's fairly easy to get around the difficulty with having "living" worlds, as in contrast to unrealistic games like No Man's Sky where every planet magically has life, very few planets would actually be able to sustain life in Elite's more realistic approach. Thus, much less work. Even handcrafting living planets in Elite would take much less programming work than the "random procedural generation" ( that uses the word "random" very loosely ) in No Man's Sky, while also resulting in more varied biomes/details.You will be able to build or buy bases/components. Like in the teaser trailer it has a single large landing pad, which undoubtedly descends into at least a small outpost below the surface. Imagine this as the initial "player base". If they were introducing animals and plants in a big way (bigger than currently in Horizons), we probably would have seen that in the trailer.
However, I agree with you that since we do have some creatures in Horizons it would be great to see FD expand that a bit. The leaks indicated fighting Thargoids in FPS, so that would be additional animals on foot. I just don't expect any sort of Earth-like experience. But seeing some more plants and maybe 'animals' on foot, yes.
That's why we're asking for clarification and not declaring it gone.Just because its not listed as VR game in Steam doesnt mean its not gonna be there. Steam is not a bible.
VR is there, im quite sure of it.
