Fleet Carriers - All customisation options on the store

ARX are earnable in-game.

Buying outright for cash, the paintjobs are £2 to £2.50 each which seems reasonable to me, considering cosmetics prices in other games.
The PJs are pretty fair IMO, but the rest... Will definitely not buy any detailing items, and the fact that the kits have just one set each is disappointing. Honestly though, I sort of expected FC kits to be more expensive compared to ship ones due to having only one FC model.

So instead of doing that, they just reduced variety it seems. Same difference to me when it comes to value for money.

At least the ATC voice can be changed even if expensive. Useless Engineers voice drove me nuts. Also no Bridge View. Or get rid of paying npc to do nothing. Stupidity in the extreme.

Nice. Unfortunately, I lost all interest in FCs for the time being, as that may be my only remaining long-term goal in terms of VR now and there's plenty of time.

Besides, I decided to stop all investments in the game immediately, ofc. My account lists 80 items already, enough is enough. Anything else would be hypocritical. 🍧

O7,
🙃

I've just looked at the PJ's in more detail. It seems to me there's just one general 3 colour layout, in 2 and 3 colour variations.

The 'numbered' PJs seem to loosely represent country flag colours.

I know it's early days but the lack of variety and imagination is a bit of a downer. I'll still get one but they all seem to be the same apart from the colour combos.

Well, I think i've made my decisions. I'll bet getting the Victory Layout - it makes the carrier much more "bulky". I kinda felt that the stock carrier was oddly too long with no "body" to it. Wish i could swap that head out though, but its not too bad - I'll have to play around with it when we get in game.

Glad there are human voices for the Star Traffic Control. Might get two - Blane or Donovan and Yumi. Pad colors? Ehhh maybe one day. Same with engines - The light blue is good. Paint jobs? Tactical white - it is my "go to" standard paint job for almost all ships - Might also get Squadron Blue. Normally I dont like the Squadron Paintjobs, because they always look tattered and worn, even at 100% paint. This looks fine.

Ok Fdev, (waves ARX bucks in their face) Open the flood gates, ready to buy, ready to fly!

...that Hannah ATC Voice lol

If I ever heard that approaching a Carrier, I'd probably turn around, Boost like hell and HiWake :D
(you might dock on such a Carrier... but you'll face a ton of hostile puzzles if you ever wanted to escape from that trap again ;) )

PS.
Pleasantly surprised about the prices, those seem absolutely okay.

Did you notice that the main thruster configuration is different for every layout?
You can see that if you select one of the engine detailings and click through the layouts.
Good spot. The store previews are truly dreadful (or I just didn't review each pixel by pixel as I should've done).

I'm still not overly happy with the fact you're only given one layout per kit. I often change things around with shipkits to keep things fresh visually. What I might do is see if I come across them in game and decide based on that if they're worth it for me. Right now the pricing feels steep for what you're getting, and based on how much variation you get per shipkit (roughly same price in Arx).
If we get all three layouts, are we still stuck with the predetermined layout for each? Or can we cross match across the three types?
It would be a bummer if we couldn't mix and match
Very good question! Would like to know this also.

The ship kits for Carriers do affect gameplay because they presumably change the hitbox. Technically lol

Hmmm. Don't want anything. Maybe tactical white.

If they add the gravity ring design for the ship kits one day maybe.

Not sure yet, but its just a ship transfer box. Not sure if the love is the same as a regular ship that you get to feel under the joystick.
