Let's hope the problems are just server load. Let's also hope that the Beta testing has closed the door to further modification; last time they did a major upgrade, they added extra untested stuff in after the beta test and it was that untested stuff that caused it all to go to pot.

I'd say let's be patient. It'll all settle down in a few hours.
 
Giving up for now. Got to a carrier system but repeated Transaction Failed trying to buy and now I can't even log in again. Hopefully there will be room for one more carrier tonight, although the admin systems are looking pretty full.
 
Updated smoothly.
Launched OK.
A little slow connecting with the server (not unexpected).
Station Services>Contacts>Fleet Carrier Vendor>Buy Fleet Carrier all as expected.
Name Carrier -- J's RESOLUTION (yay for apostrophes!)
Confirm Purchase > FLEET CARRIER PURCHASE FAILED (oh nos!!!)
"Something went wrong!" -- Ya think? clicked OK

Have tried three times. Any words of wisdom?

Same 1st try. Clicked buy, nothing for 3-4 mins then message something went wrong and crashed out. Try again.
 
Yep, never play on patch day

I just updated - and then decided to give it a spin - main menu - enter store - browse 2 paints - then store unresponsive

Yes, and all the icons have changed colour on the galmap display. So favourites are now orange instead of blue, systems where you have a ship in storage are white rather than red, mission worlds are now blue rather than orange, and so on.

Come on, Frontier. That wasn't something you needed to change, was it? Why change what people are familiar with, just for cosmetic reasons? And it can only be cosmetic, too....

And please, please don't tell us that someone got paid for changing those icon colours that didn't need fixed...
 
Every time I try to buy the FC the below errors happen. It's pathetic...so much for the beta testing (felling like an idiot).

Also the fact that Fleet Carriers update across the servers, so between people trying to log in, carriers being bought at the same time, and everything trying to update, it's a lot of traffic flow.
 
I so hope they didn't introduce new, new features AFTER the Beta testing phase, like they did last time. IIRC, last time it was those untested features that bogged everything up.
 
Seems my fastest time from menu to ship is when I connect to my personal private session (just me). If I try Solo or Open it takes 3x as long to get in the seat.

But, yeah. Getting the same error trying to buy a FC. Tried 3 times now and booted back to the main menu.
 
Looks like a transaction server overload. Surely I would have thought that the powers at be would expect this and made provisions however,
Bringing the servers online one platform at a time to ease the numbers of players trying to connect would be one suggestion if increasing the server capacity is not available. (just a thought)
